I too am looking to change on my sorento XM, same size as yours at 235/60R18.... thinking of getting from Michelin.

Been looking around and for the size, indeed not much choices. CC6, LX2 Cross Contact, Dunlop Sports Maxx 050, Primacy SUV, Primacy 3ST SuV. These are all between 550 - 900 thereabouts. There are also in 235/55R18 sizes that can be considered such as the dunlop D05, Conti UC6. I am leaning towards Michelin though as I have tried conti before this. Just waiting for after June and see whether the gst is abolished.

Yes indeed the godyears also have good reviews. Anyway, a few days after my last post, I finally went to install Michelin Primacy 3ST SUV tyres. So far so good, very quiet running, very good and grippy but being new any tyre also like that. See how it goes at 6 months.

What I am using now is the Primacy 3 ST SUV. You are referring to the Primacy SUV. Both different models but same lineage. I opt for the Primacy 3ST as now offer with voucher, so better value somewhat. The Primacy SUV is the newer version, also based on the Primacy 3 but having more cutouts to suit SUV and higher load ratings.

Thats a good price though. I got it at slightly higher at 700 with gst. and the size is the original 235/60R18. February 2018 tyres.

There is also the BF Goodrich Advantage TA SUV tyre. This particular set I am using on my company CRV using 225/65 R17 but they also have it in 235/60R18. Softer compound very hgh grip in the dry. Much cheaper than Michelins though.

Those I have on the crv which was for size 225/65R17@RM430/corner. The sorento using 235/60R18 which I'm guessing should be around RM500/corner. Definitely much cheaper than the Michelins. I got mine done at the tyre shop next to the Shell Station, Taman Bukit Desa.
