Yup, Otterbox is bulky and heavy but it works smile.gif

This round I went with Samsung’s original Protective Standing Cover coz didn’t want to spend too much on casing. Fits well with my cap ayam tempered glass!
*
Yeah but these days there are slimmer smarter designs.

IMO. ony need a case to protect the back glass. the front glass is quite sturdy and should be able to handle waist height drops.
Plus the fact that if you've got a good TG (whitestone) that acts as a second layer of protection for your front glass.

So just get a good impact absorbing case for the back would do.
*
IMO. The corners are the most important. The shock from the corners may crack the glass even if its not directly impacted and in most circumstances, phone will fall on corner rather than directly flat. For me, TG serves as oleophobic coating/scratch protection when the phone bounces off the gravel road.

Yes there are, but Otterbox design is pretty old school - bulky and heavy laugh.gif
*
Yeah... old school is cool. Brute force approach.

S9, i prefer more compact form factor. that's why last time i 'downgrade' from note 5 to htc 10

oh, not to mention i also only looking for phones with dual speaker setup  laugh.gif
*

Using my S9+ naked most of the time, unless going for sport/walk long distance/in transit to work/home/college.
(My bumper case is kinda bulky and covers the back and corners, not using any screen protector)

I like how it feels and looks without casing, hahaha
*
Actually I prefer using with case than naked. Naked for me feels too thin too slippery.

Smart. At least it will avoid or reduce the chance for screen crack. To replace the screen it might cost you 1k but a case can cost as low as 10 to 100.
*
Repair cost is one thing, more importantly is the downtime... having to set up the spare phone.. send for repair... wait... set up again. Damn annoying.

Also the feeling that repaired phone no longer virgin. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Davird @ Apr 12 2018, 11:23 AM)
That's true. A casing with those side shock absorption type should do the trick. Like ringke or spigen.  Don't need those bulky types.
*
I feel phones these days are too thin already so frankly I don't mind more thickness for a more reassuring feel. What I do mind is the additional width since the S9+ width is the max I can use one handed.

I've not used ringkes for the S9+ so I'm not sure if the new ones are the same but I have the Ringke Fusion for S7E. Its main problem is that its too loose. I reckon a fall at the right angle will just lift the case off the phone.

FYI, been using wireless charger from nilkin magic disk 4. Works wonders.
*
In the topic of wireless charger.... I'm using the samsung flat wireless charger and the weird thing is charging will stop after a while if I use the wireless charger with my S7E's adaptor but no problem when using the S9's.

Bixby is good to make setting changes deep inside the menu by using a simple command
*
Can also use voice under setting search mah.

Truth be told. I don't wanna use Bixby simply cos I'm already using google now and I don't wanna get locked down into Samsung ecosystem.

Probably but it's not the cheapest.

I just got this from my regular go-to guy for casings and covers. Cheaper, but not sure how good it is.

Just COD with him. I would say, go for it! But you must be careful with the case you use. My UAG Plasma nearly touch the corner of the TG. He said the Monarch confirm wont have any problem. With the price, I am really satisfied.

yeap, bottom right. get in the office, open case, thoroughly check every inch of the phone, luckily no scratch or dent on the body  sweat.gif

I'm curious. Do you have tempered glass installed? How much clearance does the fusion's lip have over the TG?
