Face unlock is more faster and convenient.

Correct, once you get the hang of it, its hard to get back to fingerprint. Unless absolutely necessary.

I might wait for the Limited/Special Edition. Hopefully it will be here like Injustice Edition.
*
Limited/Special edition might not reach our shores. Im also not decided yet if I will buy this. Motivation is low. laugh.gif

QUOTE(attw @ Feb 27 2018, 08:03 AM)
That's why it's difficult to buy a Samsung phone at RRP if you change phones often, but it's probably fine if you're buying to keep the phone for long term.

Last year, thanks (or no thanks) to Qoo10, I bought

S8 @ 2749, sold for 2500 (1.5 months after launching)
S8+ @ 2629 sold for 2450 (3 months + after launching)
Note 8 @ 3178 sold for 3000 (pre order)

Imagine if I had bought at RRP laugh.gif
*
Surprisingly the cheaper model ie the S8 depreciates lesser compared to the higher end ones.

No... It was 2,6xx after RM500 discount (lowest price)... definitely not 2.7k minus 500 since all those high value are for RM3k and above.

S8 was once 2,3xx
*
I can still see jokers selling their used S8 at that price now. laugh.gif

hmmm i am using my note 8 naked since Day 1. I use a normal case only just because note 8 is to slippery to hold on hand. the case give me better holding feeling.

so far i have no regrets using it without any TG. My screen already scratched a bit but wouldnt care much so long it's working fine.

i have the 1 year screen cracked warranty which can ease of my mind for 1 year. whistling.gif
*
There are bound to be micro scratches if you dont use an SP or TG. From the S6E to the S7E, then the S8+ and Note 8, I still have yet to find the perfect type of SP for the curved screens. Still have yet to try the Whitestone though. Im pretty sure the S9/S9+ will be of no exception.

I guess its time for us to accept that micro scratches are normal. I want to remove the mentality to keep screen pristine from myself.. hell it is on use so there must be wear tear.. we got carried away with the time before gorilla glass and early days of it, in which the screen can get bad scratch, like deep apparent scratch just due to in contact with common hard materials. But it is no more, even when the phone in contact with keys in pocket, there will be just minor scratch that you only can see under well lit condition.

Can bro.. I have a bit of ocd. I cant stand my gadgets being not perfect. sweat.gif

go with whitestone or HODA (both full adhesive)

it really feels like there is no SP attached on the screen

sensitivity is just like original screen laugh.gif

but seems like im the only one in note 8 thread reporting (although there's quite a number of HODA users) on the HODA status, so far 1 month 2 weeks now, still good and no cracks
*
The Hoda is about Rm200 right?

Now most of s9/9+ on paper is perfect except for battery size and the price. Hope to see 3000mah battery perform great just like 4000mah one.
*
That will not happen for sure with TW.

Yeah, been watching most of hands on review. I'm positive there's some improvement on battery performance on s9 or s9+.
If not, that would be a very dissappointment.
*
Oreo itself is already more power efficient. Now where is oreo for my note 8? ranting.gif

Why can't samsung make a proper dual sim support for their flagship models?

I'm currently using the dual sim hack on my S7E...

Still considering whether to upgrade to the S9+ since I just got my battery replaced....
*
Kinda agree to that. The hybrid sim is really troublesome if you need to use dual sim + memory card. But having said that, you could get the higher capacity model like the 128gb and 256gb and do without the Sd card. Android and many phone manufacturers are moving away from having a memory card nowadays as reading from the phone's own memory would be faster than from the sd card.

I've bought a S8, S8+ and even Note 8 (on pre-order) from Qoo10 last year. If the seller mentioned it is SME set, then rest assured it is.
*
No no..theirs is not official set. Lesser people in the rush for coupons the better I'd say. wink.gif
