I don't think u will see much improvement on performance and display. Maybe on the stereo speakers. Design is the same too.

i wonder why would you compare them side by side when note 8 is obviously 6 months behind s8.

we all know note is 1 generation behind, hence they moved the number note 7 ( and the fire fiasco).

note 8 is not a better S8, its a lousier S9.

If you are looking for cpu performance, probably the 20% or so increase won't change much. However the gpu upgrade when playing games will be much improved. Right now I'm only getting 50-55fps when running fhd+.

Well for naming phone with ‘X’, Apple beat everyone to it though.

As for the rumored foldable display phone, that will set the benchmark for being innovative.
Others will be scrambling to follow through with that design.
Will be looking forward to that one, if it ever comes to reality.

i think its unfair for you to compare with the old generation since the s8 and note 8 design and features are from the same generation 8.

Note 7 looks more like s7e

Actually, I wouldn’t compare the Note and S series, it’s pretty simple: Need an S-Pen, choose Note. Else, go with S

Difference with/without pen.
Note and S series are different.

If the S9+ has 6GB RAM and dual camera, then I think that the difference between those two series would have been blurred further.

Other provider like Telcom usually offer the same gift as Samsung.. So if you're phone bill is expensive, might as well get from telco at 1k cheaper.. Estimated to be around Note 8 price

Yes. Most likely S9+ will have 6gb ram and dual camera. The only difference between Note 8 are the processor, speaker and camera spec, plus couple of extra features such as AR emoji and enterprise Knox edition. If you own Note 8, you sure won't have urge to upgrade your current phone to S9 series.

This bring up another question, what's the major target market of S9 series? Based on the leaked trailers, they are camera enthusiastic and businessmen. At the same time, I have a feeling that Samsung is holding back this time. No major change on the design, only a few changes on specs and softwares. Probably keeping the good stuff for the upcoming 10th anniversary? Or the upcoming foldable display series?

Anyway, despite that fact that so far almost all the info have leaked, I will still watch the launch tonight since Samsung product launch is always great and pleasing. ：）

Me too never bought a pre-order phone.Usually i wait for a few months then buy it.Still sceptical with price tho
