Was considering whether my kid should go for IGCSE or SPM, also looking for a good quality home school in KL/Selangor. Which centre provides the best home school? What if my kid drop out from home school during Cambridge Upper Secondary? Will he able to enroll into government secondary school and take SPM?

Once you leave the government school, there is no turning back.

Meaning? Other options are better than government schools or not allowed to enrol in government schools again?

my father used to serve as the chief deputy director in Jabatan Pendidikan Selangor. during his time, i observed that it is quite easy to move from government school to private, but extremely hard to move from private to government. my late boss who was an architect tried to move his daughter from a private school into government's public school and it took him a whole year with a lot of pulling strings (including my dad).

i'm not sure if it's red tape or policy, but if anyone who's considering moving to private, please make sure you have the means and resolve to go all the way until the end.

I echo that as well. From my understanding - it is a policy now. Once you bring your kid out of the public education system, you cannot return back into the system especially if you have gone into O'Levels/IGCSE or International Schools or Homeschool (SATS).

Check out Sirius Scholar. It’s a home school. My kid was there for IGCSE O levels. Fees are reasonable around RM1300 per month and takes 4 years to complete.

Heard that this place is providing quite reasonable price as well for IGCSE and includes meals and whatnot. But only check if out if you're in the Puchong vicinity.
