Regarding the Searching Network and Blank map issue Waze HQ wants you to submit your info thru this form : https://goo.gl/7Co88U
They want the info to analyse why this is suddenly happening so drastically in this past few days.
According to Waze HQ, this is a known issue when your mobile loses data connection for a certain time and when data is connected back, the app fails to connect back.
You will need to set the client (app) in debug mode by searching for 2##2.

We hope with more info, Waze can come out with a solution.
