Its so difficult to find a silky terrier. I'd called up all the pet shops in homeapet.com but none of them has a terrier. I'd also went all around PJ and look for it, none of them has it. Left them with my hp no. tho. I wish I could get one asap. =)

Damm they are so cute lol.. =)

Hi, I am a new silky owner. She was born on 10 March 2009 and she came home to us at 5 weeks old. She is now coming to 4 months old. She is such a dare-devil and very playful. She is smart too...understands what we tell her. Here are some pictures of her...

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting a message here. I have a silky terrier, he is 5 and half months old now but he is only 1.5kgs. Just wondering, is that an ideal weight or is he too light? I feed him half a cup ,once a day and he normally does not finish it. I used to feed him 'Artemis' but seeing that he hasn't been eating much I changed his food to 'Natural Balance' but he still doesn't eat much. Please advise.

As you can see, I am a new silky owner myself. She is now coming to 4 months. When she was about 3 months and a week old, her weight was 2.15 kg. Since she's still a puppy, I feed her 3 times a day. Initially I gave her California Natural and I have another dog in the house and she is on Health Food For Dogs. She kept going for the other food (Health Food for Dogs) instead of hers. So now I am feeding both of them the same food. And since Santa has her kibbles mixed with boiled chicken meat, that's what Minnie gets too. She loves it!! She will always finished hers and goes over to Santa's bowl for more. She has such good appetite. tongue.gif

Okay, will check out this brand 'Health Food for Dogs'! Which flavouring do you give them? Lamb, chicken or fish? So you boil chicken meat every day? Maybe i'll try and put some chicken meat into his 'Natural Balance'..Hm..when my cookie was 2 and half months old, he was only 700grams. The owner told me his mother is really small sized, so probably cookie will end up small sized too. I hope nothing's wrong with him.

You can check on dog foods from this site Dog Food Analysis on Health Food For Dogs There is only one variant in this food. Oh no, I heard that there's a new flavour that's just out, if not mistaken, it's lamb.

Yes, I cook chicken for them everyday. Santa especially, would not eat when there is no chicken mixed into her kibbles. They especially like the chicken soup too (the water used to boil the chicken). You can also use the chicken soup to soak the kibbles or just mix with it.

Do post some pictures of Cookie here too.

At this age, I would just use her kibbles as treat.
