Yes, both Silky have different coat texture.

Charlie coat have more soft, curly & the furs grow very fast.

Belle coat feel sort, straight but furs grow abit slow compare to Charlie.

As for Color of their coat. I can't tell, it can be any color once they reach adult.

If you want your dog become FAT.

Feed him rice everyday mix with kibble

Its all depend on dog breed. Not all dog breed suitable for applying oil onto their coat. Its will make it worst.

If you own Silky, & have no problem with Indian Smell around ur house, Pure Coconut Oil is very good for their coat.

If you meant the whole body is Silver Color than yes it is not the breed standard.

But do refer the breed standard here http://www.akc.org/breeds/silky_terrier/index.cfm

Color
Blue and tan. The blue may be silver blue, pigeon blue or slate blue, the tan deep and rich. The blue extends from the base of the skull to the tip of the tail, down the forelegs to the elbows, and half way down the outside of the thighs. On the tail the blue should be very dark. Tan appears on muzzle and cheeks, around the base of the ears, on the legs and feet and around the vent. The topknot should be silver or fawn which is lighter than the tan points.

If your Silky are not into conformation show, I think shave off the hair around the butt area is OK. Easy to maintain.

If your Silky are going to Showring with the bald hair around the butt it really look very ugly

You should remember this few thing. A MUST DO LIST.

1. Weekly bathing & eyes drop after bath. (shampoo then conditioner) Conditioner is the most important step to have Shinny & Long Silky hair.

2. Weekly cutting nail.

3. Daily brushing & combing atleast 1 time a day at the sametime clean their tear stain.

4. Don't shave the butt fur. Shave only (ears, paws, tail & eyes area /\)

5. Always keep your Silky indoor. Keep them dry & clean all the time.

6. After Pee & Poo, remember to use clean water to clean them up and use air dryer to blow dry the fur.

7. Feed dry kibble only. No No to canned food (Once in a blue moon should be OK).

8. Feed supplement only when your vet advice you to do so.

That it.

You can't do much about the Silky hair color. Its depend on the genes. There are no products in the market can help improve the coat color.

There are alot of things need to be done to have a beautiful Silky hair. It I mention all the things here, I think you will LOL

If you can follow the basic thing what I mention in my previous post on how to take care your Silky, it should be good enough.

Remember this, when you take care your dog it require long term commitment, patient & love. You will never achieve the result you wanted if you don't put 100% in it (one example: today comb the hair, few day leave your dog unattended). Result of a nice Silky Hair take years to achieve it. There is no short cut.

Most dog food brands selling at petshops are quite good brand. Its all depend on your dog whether is suitable on that particular brand or not. There are no Best Dog Food in the market.

Doesn't mean expensive brand of dog food is good & your dog can perform well in it, some dog can develop skin alergy if one of the ingredient on that dog food is not suitable for the dog.

Test that brand of dog food on your dog atleast 3 months time. Then only you know whether this dog food is good or bad on your dog. If your dog is doing well, stick to that brand, try not to change the dog food due to "dog don't want eat or you feel that your dog are bored with current food".

One more thing to see whether this brand of dog food suitable & good for your dog. Don't feed them any supplement or table scrup. Only dog food.

I take this photos at home.

Just find a white background with a good camera & len. My setting on the cam - Shutter Speed 1/200sec, AV 4.0, AI Focus & no flash

I using the Canon 70-200L lens. Only this len can gave me this result. If I use the kitlens the background will not look like this white.
