Guys I drive a Clio RS and while driving last night I noticed my front left tyre had punctured, when I removed it, I saw that the inner side wall was completely torn. Time for a change of tyres. The car is running on Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2s stock. Besides the obvious choice of upgrading to the Asymmetric 3(s), are there any alternative tyres to recommend? Michelin PS4? Conti CSC5? Or perhaps some other brand, Yokohama etc....

Size is 205/45 R17

If you want the best value for money, then go for the Hankook V12 Evo 2, coz price only like 60-70% of the PS4 but performance is very close like 95-97% of PS4. In the latest test in the US, this much cheaper Korean tire even beat the Goodyear F1A3! I'm also using it now and absolutely happy with them.
If you really want the best though, then go for the PS4.
CSC5 is also a very good one, can still rival PS4 but the price might be more expensive coz still made in Europe, and it will wear out faster due to tread wear of 280 vs PS4 and V12E2 at 300-320.

Been quoted for my size:
Michelin PS4 450
Advan Fleva V701 420
Hankook V12 Evo2 318

Is V701 recommended? As I have a voucher for a Yokohama dealer here and the price difference might not be that big.

Surely get the V12E2, it's more well proven than the V701! V701 is not worth for such high price, might as well just buy PS4! doh.gif

Yeah if got budget why not, that's arguably the best tire now, so good decision! thumbup.gif

However the prices that you got seems to be on the high side though. Mostly should be able to get around rm400-420/pc like in these examples:

I agreed with bro 6UE5T recommendation.
My next change would be V12E2.
