Thanks to this thread, I have been preparing my utility bills since August even risking my electricity from being cut.

I have done 17 JOMPAY transactions, RM50 each, right after CC activation.
Hoping to get something out of the UOB YEAR END EXTRAVAGANZA as well hehe

Has anyone tried UOB Mighty Pay?
Is it as common as Samsungpay or only designated retailer can use only

I did not receive my Oct cashback so i called customer service. Why did they told me JomPay is not eligible for cashback???

Thank you for your reply.

We will be excluding the MCC code 6012 for next year.

The definition of the MCC is as such:

The purchase of merchandise or services from banks, savings and loans, thrifts, and credit unions. This includes transactions representing the transferring of value to a stored value card. Merchandise purchases might include the purchase of checks, other financial products, or promotional merchandise. Services may include deposits, the funding of an account, Visa Money Transfer Original Credit Transaction, purchase of foreign currency, money order and travellers cheques, loan fees or financial counselling service fees.

These are some of the items that may be categorized under MCC6012:

•          Account Funding – Financial Institution
•          Banks – Financial Institutions – Merchandise, Services
•          Credit Unions – Financial Institutions – Merchandise, Services
•          Deposits – Financial Institutions
•          Merchandise, Services – Financial Institutions
•          Mortgage Companies – Financial Institutions
•          Purchase of Foreign currency, money orders (Not Wire Transfer) and Travelers Cheques – Financial Institution
•          Loan Payments – Financial Institution
•          Savings and Loans – Financial Institutions – Merchandise, Services
•          Services – Banks, Credit Unions, Financial Institutions (Non-Cash)
•          Stored Value Card

RM0.60 on 26 Sep is for Grab Cashback in July

RM 50 on 20 Sep is the YOLO 8% cash back.
