I have been using the UOB One card since the first time I apply for credit card. With the 5k CL since 2014 until now, UOB has never called or ask me to increase the credit limit. Just recently, i swipe almost to credit limit and with this, wondering why they don't call me to ask to want to increase.

I have other banks cc where so far they increase few rounds and total 7x times more CL than the UOB CL.

Any idea to prompt them to increase CL?

If not thinking to use the card lesser

Hi. I have this one card classic since 2014 ago. Just wondering why there is not increase of credit limit since I paid on time and no defer payment also. When I want to make big purchase this card is pretty useless [only 5k] putting aside transfer into the account and all. While other bank request automatically whether want to increase and way more than UOB. Do I need to call in and request?

UOB until now also hasn’t sent the replacement card for my previous Citibank card. Damn.

same here no signs of new card being deliver. I also notice few of my friend who are still using Citi cards so i guess nationwide still wait only.. laugh.gif . Meanwhile my other bank cards within 2-3days already in my mailbox for replacement or new add on card.

ex-Citi here, just received my new UOB World card in the mail

at a glance at their benefits seems not much compared to my other cards, any good reason I should keep it?

has not been using it much ever since OUB took over, so I'm afraid they won't be able to waive my annual fees this year hmm.gif

just call them and ask for a waiver. mine i cancelled the card then 1 week after the retention team ask me why cancel and reconsider with them. They waive
the fees and offered me a cashback of RM100 when swiped 3 times even replaced the old Citi card immediately for me when i told them the card is worn off but yet to get their new card. laugh.gif

My first uob card is platinum one card, so this card with cl rm2k, I'm OK

But I get the VI card recently, so when I go travel with VI card, 2K cl , confirm insufficient for overseas spending

you may write an appeal and justification on the need of a higher credit limit as you currently have the Infinite card which does not make sense to have a 2k limit. A normal gold card would have an even higher limit. Justification can be your activities involving travelling, you like to focus on spending this card due to rewards being good etc. They will at least revise to a reasonable amount. If all same, you can just cancel it and reapply 6 months later. Your other banks with higher limits, you may cancel that not really use to make space for new applications. Also depends on your profile risk assessment by their credit department on how worthy you are to the bank. Like for my case, have no issues with major banks except one who always rejects me.. yawn.gif So far UOB gave me very high limit and plus previous Citi makes the limit super high even my other cards not able to increase alot.
