If it's platinum, there should be a word "Platinum" under the word VISA right?
*
Yep, I'm just not sure if it's of any difference.

Sifu is here. Would you still keep the One Plat card or just terminate it to focus on this YOLO Plat?

It depends on your spending behaviour.

I don't have OneCard and these two cards have different benefits. I will not use OneCard due to its difficulty to waive AF.
*
I barely use the One Card these days with my PBB VS. I actually cancelled the One card earlier but they countered with free AF for 2 years I think so I continued.

Will proceed to cancel OC.

YOLO revision is just removal of Travel category.
Others are still pretty much intact.

A big one here as well:

using the Card; and
h) Such other transactions as UOBM may determine from time to time.

Credit Shield means something like insurance to your cc outstanding balance, so you no need to pay in case anything unfortunate happens.
*
I'm curious if top-up only applies to Mobile, or those BP / GrabPay / Boost is also considered top up thus now is eligible to be counted as an transaction.

jompay is much faster and easier than uobpayonline.

why uobpayonline no more cb? where did u get the info?
*
I paid using it and didn't get anything. But not sure if its due to depletion of pool or not.

Your interpretation is at least one cb-qualified transaction + any  4 count-qualified transactions.
If Boost is cb-qualified then it will be easy.

Means just need to top up Boost every day RM100 withing 6 days can kaotim all requirements right?

Is it still worth keeping EVOL? I haven’t been spending anything since YOLO revision. Luckily I had cash back credited earlier and it was used to offset the monthly fees. Unfortunately, I will need to pay this month if I’m still not using it.
*
I use it for e-wallet top-up. Thats it.

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Dec 12 2023, 04:42 PM)
Need some input from fellow forummers...

Got my card and here's the breakdown on usage:

UOB Privi miles elite (Mastercard) -
Based on promotion running - first card activated gets 3 year annual fee waiver. 3 years is a long time for annual fee, at most I lose on SST (totaling about RM 75). After that, I understand annual fee waiver can be requested and usually given. Okay, can.

Usage: overseas spend, book air ticket, lounge access (very limited compared to MBB VI)
Other usage: insurance, petrol, utility, transportation, payment of taxes, FPX (x1 UNIRM)

UOB World
Based on promotion running - 2nd card activated gets 1 year annual fee waiver.

Subsequent year, must spend RM48K to be entitled for annual fee waiver. If meet 125K (UNIRM) - should not be a problem to meet.
Usage: overseas, eommerce/ ewallet reload (limited) & grocery
Exclusion: Petrol, Transportation, Utility, Jompay, Payment of taxes or payment to government (you don't get UNIRM)

Initial strategy

Collect points using UOB World, and use Privi mile elite to convert to enrich. 9K UNIRM to 1K enrich/AsiaMile/SIA.

Gap
Dinning, ecommercie (Lazada/shoppee), ewallet (sigh... capped at RM 300), need a VISA card to capture VISA promotions.

Btw, the solutions are tailored based on my needs, full terms and conditions, please read the respective banks T&C.

1st Solution: UOB VI
Reason: keeping all the points together and collect for dinning x5 multiplier. Other perks are bonus.
Problem: need to manage annual fee between UOB world, PrivElite (3 years later) and VI.
Usage: aside from dinning spend (got multiplier if RM1K above), not much other usage.
Exclusions: Petrol, Transportation, Jompay, top up/reload

2nd Solution: MBB VI /Ikwan VI
Reason: covers dinning, well lounge access (not like UOB VI limited to Asia Pac) and x2 points except for utility, petrol, education, Ezpay and insurance, which is x1. 7000 TP - 1K enrich/Asiamiles/SIA
Downside: 1st year annul fee waived and subsequent year must spend RM 80K for waiver. Split my spending and point collection.

3rd solution: Alliance VI (winner)
Reason: Annual Fee Waiver for 1st year and RM 12K spend (FTW? )
Usage: eCommerce, eWallet (cap RM3K),grocery and dinning.
Exclusions: Petrol, Gov services,

From the looks of the above, the 3rd solution is the best but does anyone has any idea which other card or solution would be the best to cover the gaps?

Currently, also holding M2P and Wise. (will phase all this out)
*
You should ask in the enrich miles thread instead.

Yep, local spend still probably Alliance VI, but PWE and WC is okay la for overall. I didn't want to split my spending so did not go with Alliance.
