Just called UOB and asked for annual fee waiver for One Card, got it immediately.

hi, want to ask regarding preferred platinum:

1) what is the annual fee?

2) other than 10% cash back rebate for utilities, dining and online, means nothing else for the rest?

3) if i spend rm1k on the card but only rm100 is for dining, utilities and online, still got cash back?

for preferred platinum, i saw on uob website online stated the following merchants only:



so the rest like shopee, 11street dont have cash back?

now left 6, uber gone liao.

this is for every uob card?

glad to know that preferred is ok, coz i just did a number of transaction on lazada app due to their birthday sales.

for preferred platinum: under dining "Make every bite count and receive Cash Back when you dine at participating merchants."

not all makan place also counted ah?

so to know which restaurant is included, only way is to call CS?

I tried to use preferred platinum for lazada purchase, keep facing error.

Later i saw lazada terus put warning say UOB bank has payment issue, super frustrating.

sad with the changes to Preferred Platinum, time to throw this card in 2019.

anyway, i have a transaction with jompay, the MCC is 4814 - utilities, so if i pay this by using YOLO, will it count as online transaction?

to those that cancel their UOB card through call, please do yourself a favor and follow up.

i cancelled mine (UOB One and UOB PP) on January, checked online banking on February, the card no longer exist, but today i check again, i was charged SST despite cancelling the card.

called the bank, they acknowledged that i applied to cancel the card but nobody followed up on the action so my card was only "blocked" but not 100% cancelled.

The CS said he will "apply" to reverse the SST, so need follow up again.

Just found out UOB Payonline closing down soon, sad man.

Sorry, i cancelled this card long ago.
