This may be out of topic. But what you’re saying is simply being the badass guy and whack whoever did not give you for what you think you’re entitled, disregarding the stated tnc.
A bank can give certain benefits at their discretion and SG banks can afford to do so as bank’s rate is as high as 28% meanwhile msia only charge up to 18%. That’s a vast 10% difference.
Guess complain is a cultural thing where MAS has to entertain every little penny complain. LEL. That’s what a lot goes... this is not matter of money, but a matter of principle of a penny. Simply toxic.
A bank giving sst rebate is being nice. One that doesn’t give doesn’t mean they’re not nice. They’re not obliged to do so. You want their service, you pay for it.
Yes
i hv no idea how yr para 1-3 have anything to do with i wrote, or even the 4th one.
mbb n cimb stick to their tnc on new card user, no need to call or beg. if one disagree, one can always stop using their product.
uob hv no clear tnc, it depend on what their marketing offer, thus even after the marketing told u swipe 3 times to get the rm25 rebate, the bank wont do anything unless one call them and make a request, if no call is made, then they just buat tak tahu and no rebate given even after 3 swipes, cybpsych said all we can do is ask is to me a relevant reply. that said, i still think uob approach is developed out of a kiasu mentality, sort of cultural thingy.
