For UOB, it is their current practice.
If you wish to cancel the card due to SST, you need to do it before SST is being charged.

I see... for me, the dates for AF/SST charges keep changing earlier by few days. Got caught off guard.
Hope the retention team can provide the offset.

About 4-5 years ago, I got charged for OneCard AF. Appealed and in the end, charged 50% AF.

Cancelled OneCard after SST charged. The OneCard no longer able to view online after a week plus.

I requested for the reversal of SST charges since card cancelled. Initially CS says unable to do so since SST already charged and is by government. I called in a few days later, the CS (different one) says shall credit back.

Finally got back the RM25 and transfer to YOLO card.

assuming targeting 16x/8% tier...

instead of RM10.00, better go for RM10.07  biggrin.gif

RM9.94 - RM10.06 gives cb RM0.80
RM10.07 - RM10.18 gives cb RM0.81
RM10.19 - RM10.31 gives cb RM0.82
...

It means that it is possible to spend less than RM625 to get RM50 cb?
If yes, what is the optimum numbers?

most of the times, i only spend RM62x.xx

usually i stop doing RM10.07 once hitting 16x times. later just do one lump-sum amount.
best optimum ...

61 x RM10.07 = RM614.27 (61 x RM0.81 cb = RM49.41 cb)
1 x RM7.43 (RM0.59 cb)

total spend RM621.70 for RM50 cb with 62 transactions  sweat.gif

62 transactions... high chance of mistake like under/over count.
Thanks for sharing anyway. Good to know but as you mentioned, not practical.

How long it takes to get the rebate after requesting from CS?

1 week plus. CS told me if approved, the rebate would be credited in 3-6 weeks. Looks like they under promise and over deliver.

RM200 ===> RM4000 spending ==> 5% cb.
*
For YOLO, you probably get the RM30 cashback in the RM4000 spending.
So, more like 30+30+200 = 6.5%
Since FCFS, I shall skip...

Reset on 1st day of the month:

I have estimated that with the new revision.
The pool can last till 3rd week of the month:

Before Revision After Revision
Max cash back per cardholder RM 50 RM 30
Total Payout Quota RM 120k RM 150k
Est. eligible cardholders  2400 5000
*Provided each cardholder gets max cash back of RM 30 per month
*JomPay, utilities and mobile are no longer eligible.

Prior to the revision, the pool depletes usually by 10th to 12th.
Now the pool is actually doubles!

Some did report that they do get cash back for transactions made on the 3rd week of the month.

Thanks! Let us YOLO users relax and have a good night sleep.
