Just to confirm: 1) The maximum cashback remains at RM30 per month but e-wallet capped at RM15 per month. 2) Need to meet RM600 minimum spending criteria per month to entitle for cashback, but that RM600 can be anything including e-wallet (even though e-wallet cash back capped at RM15 per month). 3) No more cashback entitlement criteria of 5x swipes with RM20 minimum. QUOTE(babienn @ Apr 1 2022, 09:56 AM) That's the exclusion for cashback? I read it as you can spend on all retail tranx (incl. petrol and govt) to meet the RM600 min spend. Exclusions would be on the cashback i.e. petrol spending count as part of RM600 but not entitled for cashback (even if transaction was done via wave)Quoted from the TnC: To be eligible for Cashback, Cardmembers are required to meet a minimum spend requirement of RM600 using the Card within the calendar month. For avoidance of doubt, minimum spend is defined as the total retail transaction within each calendar month excluding the below: (a) transactions made on Balance Transfer, Cash Advance, Easi-payment Plan (EPP), Flexi Credit Plans; (b) refunded, disputed, unauthorized or fraudulent retail transactions; and © payment of annual card membership fees, interest payments, late payment fees, charges for cash withdrawals, government service tax and any other form of service / miscellaneous fees. QUOTE(goliath @ Aug 14 2023, 11:57 AM) opsss.. my bad, i should have mentioned earlier that my case is UOB One. Same issue here. Try calculating your month-to-date expenses. I think mine is transaction since 26 July, cash rebate suddenly posted on 13 Aug and gotten a few cents since I have not met the min spending nof RM500 since 26 July (only 2 weeks+), 0.2% tier rate applicable. Not sure why 13 Aug (my previous YOLO statement date), new statement date has been changed to 26th for all cards (Old UOB YOLO and Citi Cashback)my Jul spendings consisted of Jaya Grocer, Setel (CardTerus), food and GrabPay reload only and total spending is above RM500. and the cash rebate i got is petrol and grocery. so, i still not sure how they calculate. do they have cash rebate pool or something which is first come first serve basis? |

Anyone still having cash back issues with UOB One card migrated from Citi? UOB messed up my statement cycle, cashback credited on my old UOB statement date hence I did not receive full cashback due to not meeting the minimum spend by the old statement date.
Called them but the officer also confused. |

QUOTE(eeeglow24 @ Aug 30 2023, 09:25 AM) I stand corrected on my previous post, the statement cycle stays the same after migration but somehow got few cents of rebate on 18 July and 18 Aug. Yes similar issue with you. Only gotten few cents on 26 Aug. They kept asking me to follow up on next statement. Told them I will make complain to BNM coz it's been 2 months and threaten to cancel all my facilities with UOB. Only then the person gave me two case number for my two One Cards. So my statement is still on 28th after migration. On 28th Aug suddenly there is Grab rebate RM10 appears. I called them on 26th they said will call back on missing cash rebate. Up until now no call back and when I called them last time, asked for reference case number apparently there’s none 😂😂. Some cash rebate still missing (Dining). Haiyaa so troublesome🫠 |

QUOTE(Barricade @ Oct 6 2023, 11:01 PM) Looks like it's the only way. Since I have already called and told them 3 times (considered trying to resolve the issue with the bank) and no meaningful outcome despite that few calls.Gonna explore how best to report it. Probably need more complains then BNM will take action fast. |

QUOTE(babysotong @ Oct 14 2023, 11:24 AM) Actually, I wonder why we as customer have to go through the hassle of calling, writing, FB and other means to get UOB to resolve their incompetency. Agree. Hence my next step will be sending love letter to BNM. No point calling them every month to ask yet nothing is seen. Let BNM deal with them since it's a basic card feature that I should be getting cashback automatically. Let BNM deal with them. Will highlight that this affects almost all cardholders transferred from Citibank, put pressure on UOB.The cash back is a card feature and such, should be granted automatically by the system and not by manual intervention. Yes, some of us got the cash backs after the numerous calls, emails and raising to BNM, but do u guys really look at the time cost and effort of doing so. For me, not worth the effort. Call to cancel the card and would only reapply later when UOB has clean up their mess. Some more like have to beg for the cash back Just my 2 sen worth. |

QUOTE(contestchris @ Nov 23 2023, 04:49 PM) TO: ceaccm@uob.com.my Thanks for sharing this template. I was about to ask on the how-to, mine having issue since July. Please also share here on UOB response to your complaint. Thanks.CC: uobcustomerservice@uob.com.my; bnmtelelink@bnm.gov.my Dear Head of Department of Customer Experience and Advocacy (CEA), I regret to inform that despite numerous attempts at reporting my grievance on the incorrect cashback for the UOB One credit card, the matter has yet to be resolved. Background Name of card: UOB One Credit Card Card benefits: [Summary table from T&C] Issue There was zero cashback credited in my October 2023 statement. By right, I should be entitled to the following cashback for the statement month: Petrol - RM10.00 (xx transaction of RM100.00 on 26 Sep 2023) Grab - RM10.00 (xx transaction of RM100.00 on 06 Sep 2023) Groceries - RM0.59 (xx transaction of RM5.85 on 02 Oct 2023) Dining - RM10.00 (xx transactions of >RM100.00 during the month) In my November 2023 statement, there appears to be adjustments made for some of the missing cashback from October 2023. By right, I should be entitled to the following cashback for the statement month: Petrol - RM5.00 (xx transaction of RM50.00 on 08 Oct 2023) Grab - RM10.00 (xx transaction of RM100.00 on 06 Oct 2023) Dining - RM10.00 (xx transactions of >RM100.00 during the month) Total cashback earned (Oct + Nov 2023): Petrol - RM10.00 + RM5.00 = RM15.00 Grab - RM10.00 + RM10.00 = RM20.00 Dining - RM10.00 + RM10.00 = RM20.00 Groceries - RM0.59 + RM0.00 = RM0.59 However, the cashback credited in my November 2023 statement does not tally for Grab (only RM10 cashback credited when I should receive RM20) and Petrol (only RM10 credit when I should receive RM15). Therefore, in total, I am still missing RM15 cashback. Summary Based on the Terms & Conditions of the UOB One credit card, I received incorrect cashback for two months in a row. I have called and emailed UOB Malaysia on this matter, which unsatisfactory outcome as the cashback crediting is still inaccurate. I am still missing RM15 cashback that I have rightfully earned based on the terms and conditions of the UOB One credit card. This is my final email to UOB Malaysia on this matter. I have provided all required proof. If UOB Malaysia fails to credit the cashback to my account within 7 working days, I will escalate this matter to Bank Negara Malaysia (who are cc-ed to this email). It is extremely disheartening that UOB Malaysia is unable to fulfil the basic cashback features of its credit cards, and customers have to chase the company multiple times for what is rightfully theirs. |
