This is normal, not specific to UOB. Obviously there must be an exchange rate applied, and if you're unlucky enough that exchange rate got better for MYR in the meantime, you will lose out. The opposite way also happens, you spend 100 USD today, 2 weeks from now refund but MYR has weakened, you will get more back.

Dunno until when people will learn, if there's something which is not supposed to get cashback but it still works, don't post about it in public forums. But yes it still works. If you didn't get its not because of that spend, and please don't bodoh-bodoh call and complain to UOB.

Huh I also kena on all 3 of my cards, so stupid. Waste my time need to call them, and now I suspect my wife (2 cards, statement date today) will also kena and have to waste time on this. If her accounts don't kena then is prob related to my BT application. But the CS officer did say will be waived, just wait for system to update la.

Some poor intern/employee's daily job this month is to click one by one through everyone's accounts and post a rectifying transaction for mistakenly charged retail interest. You think they will get any bonus for this stupid work?

You can pay for credit card from any bank's savings account. You should only open UOB savings account if you need it for something (for e.g. UOB One is pretty good as a high-interest rate savings account if you have >100k cash).

TnC says the new requirements start 1st June. And that they apply for statements from 1st July onwards.

Do at your own risk. I have 3 UOB One cards between me and wife. All spent RM500 (or just slightly over) in the most recent statement (21/22 June) and all got full cashback amount. Next month definitely will do RM800.

Since I use UOB savings account, I always pre-schedule the payment (full statement balance). Highly recommend this if you use UOB savings account.

If the cashback comes before the scheduled payment date (in my case is 9/10 of the month) then it will automatically pay the statement-cashback amount. So UOB system takes the cashback as payment for sure.

Anyone got weird cashback this most recent statement? Getting a few cents instead of RM10 per category (UOB One Classic). Spend total is RM800.

Possibly your phone or sim card is compromised. Bank is within their rights if OTP is entered to not layan you at all. I'm not saying you can't continue to press/complain to them, but normally the defense you will have is "I did not know about this" which since you actually did receive the OTP is no longer true.

If you had called the bank on receiving the SMS (or within maybe the same day) then this would have been easier to settle. When you wait till settlement, UOB has already disbursed the funds on your behalf so you're basically asking them to eat the loss because you didn't inform them immediately. A harder sell.

Requested annual fee waiver on my wife's UOB One Classic (the first of our multiple One cards to kena with the new limits).

Only granted half waiver. Spending did not hit RM15000 (nowhere close, spend per month is 500/800). When comes to my turn I'm going to try bang table a bit more and see if its negotiable (possibly not).
