OK, my 12 year old 14-inch TV broke last week. So now I can't play PS2. However, my dad said he will buy me a new 21-inch CRT TV together with a Next-Gen console.

The thing is, I am stuck on deciding which one to get, Nintendo Wii or Playstation 3?

So far, I am leaning towards the PS3 because of Lair, Warhawk and Ninja Gaiden.

But the Wii seems like a great console to attract friends to your place and also it has Zelda. Please help me

There really isn't a right or wrong answer to this one. It's mainly bout your personal preferences. You can find plenty of reviews on the net. Do your research.

Personally, I would go for the Wii.

If you are using a 21inch CRT TV, my advise is you better go for a Wii. PS3 are meant for high definition gaming and using it on a 21inch CRT is a total waste. Wii on the other will work great for CRTs. For your info, Wii has 'ahem' games and PS3 don't.

buy both.. when you're bored waiting for games to come out on PS3, play the Wii

I play my 360 on my 34 inch standard tv..And i dun think itz a waste...And 'ahem' games is not a factor in choosing consoles..

Buy both would be best...

Better go Wii.. la.. coz u can play with ur family... PS3.. got limited games... for now..... anyway ...depend on the game u like...

What I meant was those HD output will not be utilize on CRT TVs. If you cannot maximize what the console's has to offer, it's a waste right?

Er..no..At least the graphics are better than a Wii..And itz the games that matter...

So correct. I think a PS3 will best fit u. Not everyone can get used to Wii's game genre and play. Futhermore, u can try using some old PS2 games on it while waiting for so called bleeding aged HD games. Bleh, marketing hype.

buy the wii first then later on when ps3 has more good titles then only go for the PS3 ... not forgetting that they MIGHT be changing the controller, adding rumble into it ... if not u have to buy a converter and hook ur old ps2 controller...

Wii is mostly fun games like Raving Rabbids, cooking mama, super paper mario, warioware ... etc

PS3 is mostly graphic games lo ....

Xbox 360 arrr ... not sure ... never look into it ... lolz ... mostly sporting games or online games i guess

I heard the upcoming 360 models gonna be immune to the 3ROD. Right now I am thinking of PS3 because of that bloody Ninja Gaiden and Lair + Warhawk.

My budget is less than RM2500 but must have 2 controllers and 1 component cable la with Ninja Gaiden Sigman + any of those games.

But the Wii also so attractive, I can use it to "capture" attention of my friends and "person" I like. SO HOW!? TELL ME

Wii has no "wow" factor, but definitely fun. Seeing the smile on one's face upon their first play on the Wii is the best sight/feeling ever.

If you wanna impress, I'd say graphics should do the trick. PS3 and 360 showcasing HD goodness, maybe you wanna show your friends how the PS3 crunches numbers too Or the easy of gaming online with Live.

Next-Gen rules, get it all.

Anyway, why not consider Xbox 360 ? Im own both of them but still prefer the 360 due to the fact the game library avail now and the online experience (LIVE, speechless, try urself to experience it).

to promote their Ps3.

A lot High end technology has been adopted into the project and make the consol

Nintendo has done right step at the strategy...they able to sell wii at cheaper

Blu-Ray's PRO's aren't based on the fact that it will make gameplay better, more capacity = more possibilities .. take for example on why Final Fantasy 7 was not released for the Nintendo 64 in-favor for the PS1's CD format. Big files, like CG and speech takes up lots of space, and these DO enchance game(not included PLAY) quality.

PS3 games are slightly on the higher end of the pricing range because it is region free.

As for the Bluray debate, well more capacity means better things I guess. Now, the developers jst need to capitalise on that extra space they have.

err lol u said ur father is buying for u 1 console and a tv right?... and u may take a part time job and buy the other 1 later.... in that case might as well get ur father to buy for u the more expensive ps3 lol than later u save up for the wii....

The main factor when ur buying ur console should be game content ... if u like the type of games on the wii than go for it... i personally prefer the ps3 although not many games have been released yet... remember the ps3 is still far from reaching its full potential since game developers are not used to the cell processor yet..

thinking of getting a ps3 sometime next month cant wait...hope the price drops some more haha
