OK, my 12 year old 14-inch TV broke last week. So now I can't play PS2. However, my dad said he will buy me a new 21-inch CRT TV together with a Next-Gen console.

The thing is, I am stuck on deciding which one to get, Nintendo Wii or Playstation 3?

So far, I am leaning towards the PS3 because of Lair, Warhawk and Ninja Gaiden.

But the Wii seems like a great console to attract friends to your place and also it has Zelda. Please help me

There really isn't a right or wrong answer to this one. It's mainly bout your personal preferences. You can find plenty of reviews on the net. Do your research.

Personally, I would go for the Wii.

If you are using a 21inch CRT TV, my advise is you better go for a Wii. PS3 are meant for high definition gaming and using it on a 21inch CRT is a total waste. Wii on the other will work great for CRTs. For your info, Wii has 'ahem' games and PS3 don't.

buy both.. when you're bored waiting for games to come out on PS3, play the Wii

I play my 360 on my 34 inch standard tv..And i dun think itz a waste...And 'ahem' games is not a factor in choosing consoles..

Buy both would be best...

Better go Wii.. la.. coz u can play with ur family... PS3.. got limited games... for now..... anyway ...depend on the game u like...

What I meant was those HD output will not be utilize on CRT TVs. If you cannot maximize what the console's has to offer, it's a waste right?

Er..no..At least the graphics are better than a Wii..And itz the games that matter...

So correct. I think a PS3 will best fit u. Not everyone can get used to Wii's game genre and play. Futhermore, u can try using some old PS2 games on it while waiting for so called bleeding aged HD games. Bleh, marketing hype.

to me having the console comes first, buying a good tv for it comes later.

wii is for the family and something different like wii sports
but of coz they do have some ubisoft titles that 360 ps3 has

wii will not be a wrong choice..
zelda twilight princess has perfect/near perfect scores in many reviews..

i went with wii... and ps3, i still waiting until for bigger game release..

just go grab ps3 or 360 la...

buy the wii first then later on when ps3 has more good titles then only go for the PS3 ... not forgetting that they MIGHT be changing the controller, adding rumble into it ... if not u have to buy a converter and hook ur old ps2 controller...

Wii is mostly fun games like Raving Rabbids, cooking mama, super paper mario, warioware ... etc

PS3 is mostly graphic games lo ....

Xbox 360 arrr ... not sure ... never look into it ... lolz ... mostly sporting games or online games i guess
