I know, I know, AGP is dead.

But for those who doesn't think so, take a look at these links:

Can beat ATI 1950 pro?

I thought that was old news already, released last month, what I am interested is the 8 series AGP version rumors to be released, so is the R600 AGP version.

Was searching around and found this (see hyperlinks below on 7950 GT vs 1950 pro).

Basically these are the specs for both cards:

------------------------------1950 PRO------------------7950 GT

Core clock: ----------------575 Mhz--------------------550 Mhz
Memory clock: ------------1.38 Ghz--------------------1.4 Ghz
Memory interface: --------256-bit----------------------256-bit
Memory transfer rate:----44.16 Gb/s------------------44.8 Gb/s
Pixels per clock:-----------36---------------------------24

Looks like both of them are almost similar (naturally, so that Nvidia can compete with ATI!), but the pixels per clock is more for 1950pro.

Wished there were reviews on how these cards compare to each other.

If i still stuck wif old AGP system i'll definately giv a major upgrade instead of buying a high-end AGP graphic card sweat.gif
buy a new PCI-E based system n a 8600series will do better, support dx10 also smile.gif

Errrr.... major upgrade yes, but I think better not get a 8600 series. Look at the review below (comparison between 8800 GTS, 8600 GTS and 1950pro)

As for me, I hope to skip DDR2 and straight to DDR3 + quad core!!! Possible??? whistling.gif whistling.gif
