hye guys..currently im using NextG but i noticed it always reject my payment..like if i pay maxis,tesco,carrefour,shell and some others.. why the heck even if i have rm200-300 in the card.. do you guys happen to get rejected also?and i also sometimes cant withdraw from Am ATM also.. i was thinking to apply on public bank..but does it have weird rejection like nextG?

NextG is AmBank debit rite? i think there is a thread of it, u can come and ask the users there. so far i have never heard about it.

yeah.. i also cannot withdraw anything from Ambank ATM.. but i using HSBC atm instead becoz it got PLUS and Cirrus.. but there is charge..

i use nextG to purchase online ticket(GSC) and online room booking from genting... very smooth.... lol but i dun dare to try swaping the cards.. scare rejection like urs.... btw... reject sure got reason wan.... try call ambank service and enquire about it ler....

i also use it mostly online.. but swipe it twice.. no problem.. maybe ur balance is not enough.

i dont think its abt balance not enough..something with the card lah..i went to ask ambank..but they seems to like say they dont know its not their branch or something..haiz..

To the TS, call Ambank hotline to check status of your card.

what is exactly perfect for online booking? public bank visa electron or nextg mastercard? i have the PB card but the pin i didnt received yet.. almost 3 weeks i got the card but didnt have the pin yet.... which one better visa or mastercard? i think i wanna buy ambank next G also cause PB visa electron im waiting for too long.. waisting my time....

it happend to me when i was paying for my digi bill,

u need to call up ambank center and let them know that the transaction and estimated amount to who is authorized by you and to let the transaction through.

i'm having the same problem, two going to three weeks still haven't receive my card yet after bank in Rm 25. i'm starting to get impatient.

my nexg card arrived after 1 and ahalf months x_X so be patient la =b

so late..haizyah...should try bank in alot then try shopping with it

but i received the card.. but the pin not yet...

only in kLang area.. rm25 ringgit n u sign at the back n enjoy it... wahh actually after received PB visa electron we just use it dont wait until the pin.. i just go to the bank yesterday n ask the workers there..

Just got my pin number but still haven't receive any letter regarding card & the pin number was created on 1 Jun but receive after 23 Jun, post mas is soo slow on sending mails. So how? Wait for letter or go to bank and get the card coz. i select collect the card on one of the bank branch.

just want to inform u that AMBANK not sending statement for NEXG. u have to see it online..

Same here..use Public Bank card..its good.

For online payments or purchases, you need to call the Customer Service line and let them know how much is the purchase/payment and the website/dealer's name so they can authorize it. It's quite a hassle but it keeps your card secure at all times because even if somebody wants to use ur details, he/she cant make a payment because it is not authorized.

For normal swiping, you dont need to make any authorization calls. Just treat it like normal credit card.

this applied for what card? public or NEXG?..if NEXG, it nonsense...what u say are nonsense...not need to call them to make transaction or what so ever....just need to call them if u got problem with the card...

i don't use both but what i know
monthly fee for nextg is rm3.. and annual fee for pb debit card is rm25...
so what do u think???

also, pls use public bank.. i recommend not to using nexg...it sux man....service also f*** slow....u cannot withdraw money from ambank atm.. need to go to PLUS atm..also they charge u for that..

yes thats right,I cant withdraw anything,at first I try to withdraw RM20 coz my acc balance is only RM25,but cant...

Then I with draw another RM80,to withdraw RM100... also cannot....

Another 1,the conversion rates sucks.Before I want to do transactions,I call Ambank Customer Care first to know the USD conversion rate,they said USD rate is RM3.43.Then after that,I pay my ebay item,but I check the statement they charge me at a conversion rate of RM3.83 belum campor fees bla bla RM1 fees bla bla ... I know they cheat me edi,since then I never use the credit card and never topup..Ill just buy Paypal fund oni....

Afaik, theres extra charges. 3.43 is just the base rate and not the final rate. There are some "not so obvious" charges. They are not cheating you at all.

how come got hidden charge?they said no hidden charge?only the RM1 fees and 1% percent charge right ?

under 18 (according to your bday) cant applY for public bank..only 18 by bday..

They say no hidden, but maybe its written in the terms & conditions making it not hidden?

i know this thread is rather old but i would like to bring this up.
if u want to withdraw at ambank atm you need to use the cash advance function not from savings account. and when u self service swiping the card at fuel pumps they will lock RM200 or more for 21days in order to confirm the transaction. (if you use ur card at the counter inside the petrol station then no have this problem).
