VinC454,

The purpose of having this thread is mainly for International MINI 4WD racer's postings/ discussions. As for local MINI 4WD discussions/ infomation for upcoming races,  should you refer to the TAMIYA MINI 4WD V3 thread.

Anyway, you're welcome to give ideas/ suggestions to let us improve International MINI 4WD's website.

to me every car has its strong points n week points just depends on how u mod the car n what track that u are facing in a race.as for me i am a diehard fm racer but its really for technical or semi technical track but for very high speed track a vs or tz will be very handy.so i normally bring a lot of cars to race.

QUOTE(khanhfat @ May 8 2007, 07:39 AM)
I'm from Vietnam.. i used to play mini4 since 1999. in 2004, i took off and fly over USA to study.

My first car was FM. I can't believe they have front motors car. I won my first race with it too, then got beaten with upgraded cars. First time i join the race with that Strato Vector and no upgrades. It's still able to win with the Orange motor.

Front bumper of FM is weak.. i breaks 2 of them. They should make an FM- X like they did with TZ X. it's gonna be badd as s.

when I look at the track in the video, how can you guys manage the Jump. Races in Vietnam doesn't have bridges and Jumps like that one. Only interchange lanes bridge. Those jumps reminds me of something new that you can try, which i still remember from old vids of Japanese races from a tape that they show in Vietnam. The trick is : They put high power fans to blow the car during a straight run ( reminds me of Let's go first few chapters).  Why don't some of the organizers put those fans to blow while the car starts to jump on the bridge? It'll be cool

I've seen some of you guy's car  put down force wings on the body, Why don't you try to flip upside down to see what happen. Like in planes, the wing flip up ____// makes the plane go up. if the wing flip down ---\\\  like that it'll make the plane go down.

-----(wind)--->>>    -----(wing)---\\\ which results a better down force to keep the front down???

So why don't some of the player try this. I don't know if it's common sense in aero physic or not but it's worth to try to prevent the car from jumping too high.  The wing can be put in the rear, front, and middle. I'd prefer to put it in the middle.

It's just an idea pops out of my head. You guys should try it.
By the way, Vietnamese car sticks with roller extension alot, which we use both of Roller extension in front and back of the car + 19mm ( if i'm right) rollers. 2 pairs in the back and 1 pairs in the front so the car will completely fit int the track. Only a little space between roller and wall. I don't know if many of you try this set up before, it may be old to you guys. Wider extension can result harder landing after jumps so it may be not good in you guys's Malaysia track).

The trick in using the Extension is we can bend the extension plate in higher angle than the original( use a pincers) , which results more down force of the front bumper and stable jumps in Change Lane Bridge  ( how do u call it?) and curves. Higher angle of the front roller results more down force but don't bend them too much though. Just slightly over 3 or 5 degrees more.

My car used to jumps out a lot but after i did this trick, it's stop flying out at those bridges. This only works most effective with alunium rollers with rubber ring outside.
My trick above may be old, has any one try it yet? I mostly see you use FRP plate and nothing else, I was like " how can you guys keep the car in track with bearings rollers while passing the bridge?"

what u have played is like what the Italians are playing now high speed with only the lane change as the obstacle.what we play is more to technical which is more fun and challenging.i hope more of u guys can share this kind of experience so we all can learn more bout mini4wd racing all around the world.

back to the topic
I got an idea
why don we put the history of mini4wd in a website, to have a rough history of mini4wd around the world?

btw, I also wanna have a technical track in our club if it is possible...
*
u can do it if u have enough lane change to convert to the ramps.
when are u going back to hk?

QUOTE(EChickeN @ May 9 2007, 02:15 PM)
yeah, something like that
but  it is beyond that, I mean maybe we should have a brief history of mini4wd in each country

also, I think we better to have committees for the mini4wd international forum
*
well count me in, i just want to make mini4wd as big as rc racing.
now my main aim is to get more people to know about our thread here especially mini4wd lovers or racers from all over the world.

Yes, please.I am excited...but I think Tamiya doesn't have much time for preparation..only 6 months...also...I hope we can do something for this
maybe we can open our forum soon..

I am just afraid that we don have much power to negotiate with Tamiya...about the playing method..the rules..
*
hahahh they race will follow tamiya official ruling they are big enough to do the race dont worry.

David, please confirm if your source is the real one
I think we may have to boost up to setup the forum and send a email to Tamiya, whether we can take part in the organisation of WMC
*
i work for tamiya malaysia and i am the one in charge of mini4wd section here so do u believe me or not is up to u.as for wmc there is nothing wrong with doing what we want to do, cos there can be a tamiya wmc and a private wmc u got what i mean.

I think the best condition is we can cooperate with Tamiya
becos tamiya is the producer of mini4wd, so it has much rallying point to ask the mini4wd racers all over the world to join its competition....but can u ask if it is possible to do so?Thx icon_question.gif
*
to cooperate with them we have to be big enough that is the main thing but with just few of us here nth can be done but just hope with this wmc this year more n more international racer will appear n i think this is the best way to get more ppl to join us.
