Got a pair of spec with Hoya lens (Nulux 1.67 HVLL) but wasn't given the warranty card - the shop claims stock lens do not come with warranty card but only recorded on the system? They said only non-stock lens have warranty card.

I am not sure if I should just take their words?

Any idea how to find out if I was given Hoya lens but not some cheaper substitutes?

hmm i've never gotten warranty card for lenses before either.
some like crizal got the card to say its authentic, and the lens has a watermark to show its crizal...not sure if hoya has.

and usually warranty also most will just go back to the shop...else the best answer is to ask hoya malaysia.

i was given the lense data card (quality card) which consists my name, date of purchase, my degree etc.
