Looking at the grand scheme of things politically; it can be deduced that EPF would not be able to serve it’s objective / mandate.

What’s even more perplexing is there are segments of society who thinks that the top contributors @ ‘the rich’ are the ones benefitting the most out of the dividend payouts; hence they should be ‘punished’ by lowering their payouts via the tiering system.

Such flawed views is the result of poor financial literacy / simple-mindedness. The local financial market is going to be very interesting should the tiering system comes to fruition.

Tiered dividend will only benefit the majority of the voter bank. The M40 will likely be affected the most.
