QUOTE(cherries @ Jun 12 2018, 04:04 PM) GPS work very well , inside my house also can detect GPS. I used A1 before and got GPS issue. Very happy with RN5 now, jump from A1 May i know which telco that you are using? Earlier some have reported GPS locking issues with Umobile on RN5. Thanks in advance!

QUOTE(klee123 @ Oct 3 2018, 04:31 PM) I bought the RN5 recently in August and had intermittent problems with the GPS losing connection on and off while using on a journey. Have tried various configuration changes from info I gathered from the internet but didn't manage to fix it. Last week I switched to my unifi sim card which I have as spare and the problem immediately went away. I was on umobile. So my conclusion is the telco network together with the xiaomi phones combination that has this particular problem. Before that I was using Samsung A8 with umobile and I never had this problem. Yesterday I ported out of umobile into Maxis and it works flawlessly. So if you are with umobile and have this particular problem, just move out of umobile. And BTW maxis has a good postpaid plan which is comparable to umobile, Hotlink Flex which I am currently signed on to. Happy "Wazeing"! Thanks for your feedback on RN5 GPS performance while using Umobile. So the culprit is really Umobile not compatible with RN5 for stable GPS locking then. Btw, Hotlink Flex postpaid looks very competitive as a telco plan too.

Possibly the lowest price for RN5 (4GB + 64GB) at RM768 with promo code, but no Black color though. The lower spec 3GB + 32GB is available too. Local warranty and sold by Tesco official store. Tesco Lazada

QUOTE(okuribito @ Nov 9 2018, 10:22 AM) I'm shopping for an RN5 Ai on shopee. Can someone confirm what kind of ROM is installed on MI Malaysia's RN5 phones? I found a seller the says "Original Malaysia Set" & "Local Manufacturer Warranty" ... but one of the buyer comments say installed with Global ROM. Couldn't contact seller unfortunately "Original Malaysia Set" & "Local Manufacturer Warranty" - authorised local set with Mi Malaysia warranty, installed with Global ROM "Original Import Set" installed with Global ROM - warranty by seller only, not Mi Malaysia. I think warranty is the key difference here since imported set are now installed with Global ROM too.

Hi all,
For Redmi Note 5, is the screen curved on the edges and require full screen tempered glass to avoid air bubble on the edges?
Btw, is there any good tempered glass that doesn't cause rainbow or bubble effect on the edges to recommend?

QUOTE(bluecat68 @ Feb 19 2019, 04:57 PM) Redmi 5A user here and looking to upgrade a little bit from there so which Redmi can be consider for something around RM500-700 ?? By the way how much to fix the 5A screen if it has crack ?? Thanks first Redmi Note 5 3GB/32GB is a good one to upgrade to. You can find it below RM600 on Lazada/Shopee. If you're willing to wait for Redmi Note 7 that will be launched in March (likely around RM800), this model will be a major step-up in terms of specs.
