gonna wait for asus zenfone max pro m1 6bg variant to reach malaysia.. i have read very convincing review since their launch yesterday:)

Pure android is good but need to sacrifice notification light.. At this point all phone c/w Android One dont have that..

Though asus offering seems to be better, but i dont trust their quality control, xiaomi in this regard are better

Ps: had a zenfone 5(lcd not function), fonepad 7(won't start) and asus laptops (broken as well)

Same here. My opinion.
My brother in law owned a budget laptop from ASUS. The color on the palmrest came off, barely a year. It was either due to my brother in law's issue with his sweat or the laptop's so called built.

Aiyo.. What time is the Product Launching ah? I couldn't wait to receive the official news.

I am most probably getting both the Asus Zonfone Max M1 (SD430 - low spec model) and Redmi Note 5 (3gb version).

So far, read reviews on Zenfone and here are a few cons that I didn't like:
- camera performance not as good as RN5 (but not that bad)
- pure android is ZenUI based and not like Android One. Updates is from Asus not Google.
- pure android still need optimization. Not that smooth.
- fingerprint unlock is slow

Take note, in Indonesia, they also announce 2 more Zenfone model, Zenfone 5Q and Zenfone Max M1.
