Just upload the file to total virus and check.Some files may be flag as virus since it's for root.But ransom more dangerous than hack.

Where did you get your file from? Only download from miui site. If it was, then just disable Defender or any AV/IS for that matter. I somehow have blinding trust towards files from original source.

Ive decide to  stay with rn5...very tempted by poco earlyer...the hype train...the thing is i dont play games at all....yes poco is a great value...but rn5 is not bad....somore i still think rn5 gonna be better interm of battery life due to low performing chip...just the lagging cemera frame 4:3 issue bother me alot....hope to fund the cure...18.9 just to much wasted megapixel...

Just updated to MIUI 10 as well. How do I disable the swipe up to launch browser gesture?

Last time it launches Google now or something but now it launches Mi Browser. I don't use Mi Browser. If it opens up to chrome I don't mind.

if rn5 comes with type c cable i will take to replace my A1 de ... as now my car, office and home all with type c cable.. only at home got 1 usb cable to charge power bank  / others stuff.

Not that bad or bloated. Im coming from stock vanilla android and for me MIUI is still acceptable for me. Their extra software also useful, like remote control, cleaner, screen recorder, QR scanner, compass.

Have you updated to the lated MIUI 10? Previously I had camera lag issues as well, but after I updated to MIUI 10 it really reduced the lag by a lot.
Any noticeable differences? What about battery life?
