Just wondering, why insist on usb-c? The phone does support fast charging on micro usb.

USB type C is reversible and much more durable than Micro USB. Other than that, USB tyoe C comes with USB-PD standard.

well, that is hardly a deal breaker, isn't it?

I think for it's price, the good things you get from it far outweight that usb-c. For example, given the choice of good camera vs usb-c, I would choose good camera.

It's indeed not a deal breaker. But for some people, using old technology in year 2018 is not acceptable. I guess at the end it's a matter of preference. For me, I can go both way. But since already get used to USB type C, need to be extra careful when using micro usb cable. Don't want to spoil the charging port because pluggin in the wrong way. tongue.gif

I think that's Redmi 5 plus which already been released in Malaysia, since "Vince" is the code name for Redmi 5 plus.

The "real" Redmi Note 5 (China/International SD636) of course is no where to be found in the system since it's not yet released in China.

Well, MET7 or MEG7, both of them are still the same. Redmi 5 plus = Redmi Note 5. Different code, same product.

Also FYI, the MEG7 seems already appeared in Sirim since last year.

Yup.. Xiaomi already said RN5 SD625 & RN5Pro moniker only for Indian market coz R5/R5Plus not available over there. Indian RN5 also known as R5Plus in China & Others including Malaysia. To differentiate RN5 between SD625 & SD636 in Indian market xiaomi use Pro.. RN5 SD625 a.k.a R5Plus, our market had 6 variants from 2GB till 4GB & memory from 16GB till 64GB. As xiaomi said China & others will only have 1 name & call as RN5 SD636 with 4GB/6GB 64GB with diff spec
