i nv use VoLTE b4, but i dont think it is free.
coz u r using their framework to connect to another telco.

traditionally voice channel is limited to 8bit quality,
if u wan more bit, voice channel unable to provide u... tat y they use data channel in LTE.

so what does 8bit audio or more mean...
8bit - suitable to carry human voice data
16bit - music... voice+treble+bass like ur mp3 quality
24bit - music + more background sound... eg singer stepping on the floor sound (aka dancing) is recorded

in conclusion, if u r using VoLTE.. ur spouse will know whether u r cheating or not... they hear everything in background.

noise cancelling is actually more toward echo cancelling.
that y we hv 2mic buildin...

if the background noise is very distinct, it will be recorded...
mean not really background cancelling.

in 8bit audio, it hv limited capability.
but higher bit able to store more "distinct" audio.

let said background got ppl singing "negaraku"
in a single mic u will hear "negarakuuu" because of how sound is travelling...
after the echo is cancelled, u will hear the correct word.
the distinct sound is corrected.

mi3 initially launch very cheap, then ppl hv high expectations for mi4.
