You are right, If setup on router is consider one device.

However, setup vpn on router is vert difficult to adjust if you want to change server location.

Nearest might not the fastest.

Malaysia server is nearest but Singapore server is much more faster.

Malaysia have only around 4 servers, but Singapore have 20++ server now and keep increasing.
