Hi Guys,

Complete noob here when it comes to mobile phone besides iPhone.

Buying a phone for my 12 years old boy who is keen to shoot short videos for his YouTube channel. Don't want to spend too much. Please recommend me a good model below RM700 with decent camera. If not possible, I guess I can come up with a bit more.

Why nobody recommend asus?
Asus zenfone 3 laser is good also..but accessories damn hard to find

Best camera videography phones under RM700
1. Meizu M6 Note 16GB version (Overall great camera, great for stills and videos)
2. Zenfone 4 Max Plus(M1)(over RM700) (The wide angle camera gives the whole video more dramatic and punchy)
3. Moto G5S Plus(over RM700)(Camera software optimisation is great, suitable for newcomers, camera setup is also not bad)

Well, these models are around the budget and have decent camera quality for videos but performance wise isn't the best, but still good.

Btw Leo, it Meizu easily available here, durable or not? Moto is former Motorola right?

Well, it is easily available in online stores but very few official shops in Malaysia but 3rd party resellers can fix the phone if have warranty. Yes, Moto is former Motorola.

Personally would dish out the extra money to buy the Moto G5S Plus instead of Meizu because Moto has better software.

Moto G5S Plus better than MiA1, but price over RM700
