I do hear noise when i go over those higher bumpers. But the noise is like from the back tyre, like when i just landed from the back wheel, can feel the car shaking a bit and a bit of the noise from the back.

Do u  mean that?
*
Yeah. The rear part has some rattling noise too. Its like something knock on it. The front is more apparent and it appears after the rear issue, every time driving by a pothole will have that noise.

i think i don't have to test drive Myvi , i drove myvi old model and i don't think there's a difference with 2008 model. mine is 1.5cc
I check the comparison in carbase.my, persona have more power and i like the fact that there's a trunk for luggage.

myvi have the collision feature but have a feeling that it's not going to make big difference.

only downside with Persona is that it's not Auto Start or keyless.
but after driving myvi for many years, not sure if i still prefer car like that if i can travel out and use highway .
myvi gonna vibrate more and a lot more sound when use long journey.

new myvi slightly lower, wider and longer
so its more stable compare old myvi for sure.. but the roominess you felt before gone.. new myvi more to hot hatch car.. the fuel consumption also quite a big gap, new myvi with new engine estimate usage by perodua at 20km/l which achievable.. summore about safety, new myvi even lowest spec is 5 star NCAP rating, while old myvi 3 star, only myvi icon got 4 star.. the driving position also quite good.. aerodynamic also improve for the new myvi thus reduce coefficient of drag..

,
Even though new Myvi score 4 star on safety rating but I doubt on that . If concern on safety and car handling & boot space, no way New Myvi can Win over New persona, except fuel consumption . Those Auto Start or keyless is optional gadget and not important to have. If more on highway cruising persona is better choice to drive with confidently

The only downside of the nrw myvi is i think the engine sound that can be heard clearly in the cabin during idle.
I still remember the last time I was in the old first gen myvi. I thought the engine died on me.

Yea so far so good. Do bear in mind this is a One year old thread. I was comparing new Myvi 2018 to old Persona 2017.

The thing I notice is suspension wise. Persona still wins. Whenever I drive pass those red thick paints on the road, it reminded me how well did the Persona performed on those roads. Persona u don't really feel th bump.

more reliable engine imo. I'm still quite skeptical on Proton's engine. While the Myvi's engine set up is basically an Avanza's engine set up. biggrin.gif

Yup,, is truth that p-2 engine however still base on Toyota platform...
Toyota proven the most reliable engine in the world ..
Actually I know CamPro engine block also build by P2 itself .. by today not sure still P2 yg tlg buat that block or not ..

I went to sit in persona car just now and surprisingly, with my 6 feet tall and giant size, the driver site was quite ok. I think I would choose this car for my parent.

Sometimes they would go to market and buys lots of things, having a segregated compartment to store the wet staff is a plus by a lot. Occasionally driving outer-state with few luggages and 4 people makcik and pakcik I think suits them.

Yup definitely a persona.
