Going to test drive the Myvi 1.5 tmr, thinking to go for AV or just H model.

Then survey a bit, and saw that Persona's Premium and Executive is priced quite similarly to the new Myvi.

Thing is either 4 speed gear box vs CVT. ASA vs non ASA.

Currently I'm driving an old City 2000, 1500cc. So I'm planning to get a similar 1500cc car.

Which 1 would u guys go for? and why?

Appreciate your input. biggrin.gif

Correction for many ppl..
1.5 cc = 0.015L

It's 1500 cc or 1.5L not 1.5cc

Like K3nnYkl82 said, 1.5cc is not 1.5liter engine. Better to ride a bicycle at that power. Lol.
I will say if u plan to replace your City, go get a persona. Once u drive a sedan, u can't live with a small boot. Persona is great, only thing i dont like is the rear seat cushion.
But if u getting a 2nd car, i think Myvi is good. Small nimble, and fuss free, not to mention the lower/mid spec waiting time is shorter. I only think its not worth paying for the ASA. Too many conditions for it to work, you r encouraging yourself to distract yourself and use the phone to annoy other road users. Its not safe to rely too much on technology.
Final note, take the test drive and you know what u want.

It really comes down to personal preference & priorities.

Of you want more space, get the Persona. If space is not an issue, get the Myvi.

If you want better handling, get the Persona.

If you want better FC, get the Myvi.

Both cars are safe, with Myvi has the extra advantage which is the ASA.

Actually I don't feel I really need the ASA also. The only reason I would consider the higher spec is the reverse cam. Haha. Don't really need the touchscreen too.

Maybe I should put Myvi 1.5L H vs Persona Premium

it depends on your usage. both can be a good car with good spec (myvi a bit better with led headlamp). persona offers better boot space and better highway cruising. since your old car is city, i assume u still needs a big boot space..so the answer is persona.

do u really need/want ASA? else just get highline, save $$ and mybe shorter waiting period.

Persona, good car with nice handling provided you are lucky to get a problem free car. FC is like 11km/L

Just tested Myvi. Overall it's nice. But don't quite like the idle. I'm driving mostly in KL city. I can imagine Everytime when jam and I start moving. I feel the engine kicking in.

Gonna test drive persona next.

the engine start-stop during traffic jam? its a start-stop feature in myvi, got a button to disable it. or just get 1.3 STandard... which doesnt comes with this feature

Just tested persona. In terms of steering it feels lighter. Handling is better than myvi imo. Not that myvi's steering is heavy. But I would prefer Persona's. Suspension also better than myvi. So I would say in terms of driving experience, persona seems to be nicer.

Just a matter of the engine. Persona is proton's vvt. Myvi is vios' vvti. Hmm

myvi engine is better but campro vvt is more reliable in disperse heat more quickly and its heavy duty
