the new lock installed fits the old frame. i had to push it with a bit of force on the last end, it's same length as old one, and the screw fits in properly. when turn it just feels harder than the old model, but nothing unnatural. so how did i installed it wrongly coz 1st time i change such lock.

yeah maybe the installation not really fit

i installed on the grill but the grill some what lari alignment a bit

it bit hard to lock but if by itself it smooth as buttery
