Can someone recommend a camcorder?

I am planning to get a camcorder, but not sure what to get. I saw the Sony HDD camcorder which is very nice but its price at RM2500 which is a little pricey. Then there is the Sony mini dv that cost only RM1000.
Which is better...MiniDV or HDD? Any model to recommend? |
