It's very impressive actually, I think even many heads of smaller companies would be lower than that. How did you climb so fast?
*
Mostly through luck and hard work I guess. Internal promotions and jumped around here and there. I feel I’m still behind my dad who became a COO of a large financial services group at my age. Also a good friend of mine is a Big 4 partner and earns at least rm70k a month 😩

But that's quite rare, I'm in my early thirties and I think most people I know are in the 5-15k range. I heard that Big 4 if you don't make partner it's pretty bad also, director level also around 15k sadly....

From here do you have any higher to go? From the salary surveys I see, many CFO's pay would be around your current range also.
*
Yea, I’m aspiring to be a CFO of a reasonably large organisation. In my last company, my boss (who was the CFO) earned around RM50k-RM60k. So yeah, that’s my target... unless I can land a job in SG or HK lel with dollar to dollar pay lel.

Yeah maybe you’re right. But within my circle, some of my friends are already CFOs of plcs.

It depends on the size of the company I guess. My previous boss earns above rm1 mil basic plus allowances plus bonus

Since I'm from a technical & math background, i did outperform  other colleagues in term of analytical skills (got several feedback from other colleagues & stakeholder),
guiding others (more senior than me) on how to use some of the Business Intelligence tools, what kind of insights should be given etc.
Heck, i even did several reporting process/task automation to expedite others BAU working time.

Disappointed to hear they didn't count the experience & contribution during i'm in the contract position. Had i known earlier, I would've jump elsewhere to make my working time counted.
Is this standard evaluation practiced at others comp, to not count contract position experience?

Bro PM me. I’m looking for someone with your skill sets
