QUOTE(DX_das @ Nov 15 2019, 10:45 PM) Job Title : Platform & Business Development (Software Developer at core) I am in your situation as well for my case i had worked for my current company for years and i actually got a better offered but the company is willing to meet halfway so i stayed. It depends on you the grass is not alway green on the other side unless your future job is for a MNC company. The reason why i stayed is the fact is closer to home (1 hour travel) and my new job needs at least (2 hours). My advise is maybe to get some freelance jobs outside of your company.Job Desciption : Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement. Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience. From time to time receive call from numerous client that express interest in the platform itself where I will meetup with the client to demo the platform as well gather their requirement/feedback to enhance the platform according to client industry. Age : 27 Years spent in company : 4 years Company : Start-up Company Industry : IT Industry Tenure : Permanent Employment Level : Junior Experience before joining (years) : 0 year (first company) Highest paper qualification/ education background : Degree Location : Selangor Average Working Hours Per Week (incl lunch hours): 63 hours (9am to 6pm) Monetary Payout Basic Salary + Fixed Allowance : RM3800 Performance, Variable Bonus & Commissions (months) : 1 months (only receive once for the first year afterward haven’t receive any bonus) Benefits (where relevant) : Health Benefits : RM1000 Medical Fees per year Transport Benefits : - Mobile / Internet / Gadget Benefits : - Flexi Working Hours : - Other Benefits : Annual Leaves 15 days, possible company share (ESOP) I am considering job hop as my last increment was like only in the first year and afterward have been stagnant due to company not making any profit but still going strong as my boss constantly strike for new goal by building on past failure. However would like heard others advice/opinion on it first before deciding any further. Here is an outline of my current pay Job Title : .NET Software Engineer Job Desciption :Write Code,Design and do the technical stuff Age :28 Years spent in company : 4 years Industry :GIS Employment Level : Mid Level Experience before joining (years) :4 year Highest paper qualification/ education background : Diploma In IT Location : Subang Average Working Hours Per Week (incl lunch hours):9 Monetary Payout Basic Salary + Fixed Allowance : RM 4175 +rm500 Contractual Bonus (months): Depends on performance(Best at 3 months) Performance, Variable Bonus & Commissions (months) : Freelance Project:rm 2000 per month (spend average 2 hours daily weekdays) and weekends 4 hours Benefits (where relevant) : Health Benefits : Transport Benefits : Mobile / Internet / Gadget Benefits : Flexi Working Hours :Yes This post has been edited by Darrel1991: Nov 25 2019, 09:53 PM |

QUOTE(hksgmy @ Oct 23 2020, 08:35 AM) I’m not from the IT field but I’ve been based in Singapore for the past 30 years, so I can offer a local perspective on the job environment at the moment: and it’s bad. Officially, tens of thousands of locals have been let go, and 3 times the number of foreigners. Unofficially, who knows. is good you have aws and docker cert but the problem now is this pandemic is really very bad right now not many are willing to hiredIt might be hard to for a fresh grad to look for a job as employees are pressured to hire locals. Just to let you know so you can make a balanced decision. Good luck! |
