is it easier to get a job and visa as:

1. mobile developer - android
2. Back end engineer - java
3. java engineer - server side
4. front end engineer
5. SAP related work

Which one is easier? or you have any other suggestions?
Should I get job experience first in KL?
I would like to know the challenges we encounter as well as the salary growth

but what i saw on linkedIn profiles, it's a bit rare to spot mobile dev get a job at sg from overseas , or I have the wrong mindset?

Might be true. My cousin work in Exxon mobile as engineer earning around 30k which including allowance upon his graduate from university. Maybe OnG pay well back in the years.

Am i the only one that feel demotivated after go through this thread?? Comparing what i get now with what people earning out there.

1. They are unable to find suitable candidate after months of trying.
2. The JD should be the same i guess.
3. This is the dilemma, they are asking my expected increment. Since i just left, how much is too much? Does 30-40 seems reasonable?

plenty of malaysians leaving local company for better salary & environment. funny thing is my company pay foreigner more than local, lol

Initially plan to work in SG after graduate, then i realize like most of the company they paying around 2400SGD +- for the fresh graduate only... but since im graduate in computer science, most of the IT job is in SG town area which the living cost quite high...

After some consideration, make up my minds and find the job in KL.. not sure is a good decision or not

Another point where I decide to get some experience in KL first is I applied around 10 jobs through JobStreet.sg but all of them said not suitable. Lol... even they mentioned training provided and only little requirement is stated

I just started working after doing free lance esports and events jobs last year.

Btw about the bonus, it is confirmed by all my colleagues that they haven't got increment or bonus from last Jan till now. I plan to work here for 1 year and see if it will be different next year. If still no increment or bonus, I'm thinking about leaving... Is it normal for consultant companies to not have yearly increment?

This is my first job, based on my working exp, am I underpaid? I'm actually feeling a bit stagnant already with this job. The only way to entice me is to involve in other projects, POC etc. Will talk to my GM about this during the coming review.

Overall I think our company benefit is quite good. But I feel a bit hard to break thru the structure. It's Associate Consultant, then Consultant, then Senior Consultant. I see a colleague of mine, worked here like 6 years, to break into Senior Consultant role.

I did masters by research, had a few publications. But didn completed it. I see my friends around my age, they are getting better salary than me

How much of % should I expect if I jump shit to end user IT? End User meaning those dealing with their own company's IT, those that are not vendors / consultant that requires to deal with clients.

Yea. If I am to stay with this company, I'm letting my manager know that I want to be involve in other projects. Get more certifications. See how it goes.

I see. Then maybe if I am to jump ship, I'll try principals or vendors. Like Microsoft or companies that provide supports for Microsoft.

Nope. Just small company la. Not even DXC's size. Company size is around 70+ staff? Recently got merged.

Yea, I'm casually looking for jobs. But not sure if I wanna continue in Consultant / Vendor role, or end user.
