At your age, this pay is super high. How did you manage to get to 12k with 4 increment cycles (assuming one increment cycle per year)? do you mind sharing?

That working hours is pretty insane and your pay is relatively high, mind sharing your story and your degree?

currently u 26 or 30?

In general I got lucky with good bosses. I had IT related degree.
Working hours are really depending on the project loads. Sometimes peak season too many concurrent projects ongoing then need to stay late a bit. I avoid working on weekends since it's the only resting day.

I guess in the end, those extra hours paid off.

I am looking to change soon cause boss declared no increment this year due to "not getting paid"

That 12k is because of overtime? Quite high for 4 years experience. But ive seen similar case, and yeah work hour almost double the normal work hour, 75-80, so that salary kinda justify the workload, scale down to normal hour, tll be around 6-7k, which is still high for 4 years exp.

Our company doesn't have overtime payment policies, so the 12k is the basic only. But I guess they factored the 'work hour' in haha

no if one day there's no new projects coming in, then you might be the first to let go?

hard to justify still, 4 years experience with 12k. nonetheless, very good for you

IT usually give good pay.. n plus its MNC they r nice one.. not like those chinaman company hahahah

Anyone can recommend a decent part time degree for IT? I'm working as .net consultant now. Mainly using c#, mssql, .net frameworks.

I felt my basic is too low.how do you guys think? i was not demanding during receiving this job before bcoz I really wanted to be in this Sys Admin,even I took cert using own money, but now felt the burden since I already got housing loan(house will complete 2019/2020)
Just now receive a call for the same position at Maybank, but contract under agency payroll,not sure how much should I request.
