Maybe its my luck then. I think Malaysia HR is still stuck with the mindset of having the employee's previous salary as a benchmark for their next salary.

Is it because they couldn't judge how much is the employee is worth paying by looking at his resume and interview results?
*
I'll rather they ask about past salary as a benchmark for next salary, otherwise what do you suggest? I've no idea how it works at other countries though.

Right, so it's month, not min lol.

Also whoever that commented that I"m dumb, where's his post? Not cool dude, congratz for all so smart and high and rude. Guess the only way you feel superior is by being condescending to other people, if that's the case I pity your life.

Want to learn up a technical skill like medicine or engineering. Plan to go back to college and change career. It gonna take like 5 to 7 years including pre u in science. Is that do-able? Not sure about that whether i can cope with the youngsters or not 🤔
*
Why do you feel like changing career? Assuming your starting salary is rm3k, reaching ~5k in 4 years is actually not bad, then again I'm not sure of different industry.

As for your question, are you a quick learner? Youngsters have all the time they need, no need sleep one lol. Now I must go to bed by 11am. Can only compete using brain lol.

Your salary is above average I think. That's a normal degree right? We only get this kind of salary with master degree.

Just curious how you manage to graduate with an engineering degree and start working at 21?
*
Isn't that normal? Or are we not normal?

The fastest way I know of:

Complete SPM at 17
Start Foundation right after SPM and complete by 18
Complete 3 years engineering degree by end of 21
Start work at beginning of 22

Not to mention most of the engineering course takes 4 years so a lot of my peers started working at 23.

What's your path way?
*
The other person's comment about requiring Industrial Training clears my confusion. I took MEng so I finished by 22 instead of 21. A lot of my friends too BEng though so they finished by 21/22. I thought BEng were recognized? I recalled something about not recognizing certain degree but I can't remember anymore. (I thought that was Malaysia not recognizing MEng as Master but normal degree instead).
