To be frank, the company with the new opportunity seems like having a lot of bad reviews online. My concern would be if I accept the new opportunity, of course the pay is higher but I don't want to jump out of the frying pan and into the fire if you know what I mean.
It seems like current company seems to be more stable and better than the new company.

That's a good take on things. But also, take it with a pinch of salt.

In general, people who review online are those that has a grudge to bear. I mean, you don't go and write a review on how you are enjoying your role in your current company right?

But, look out for key words and general themes as those might be an indication of how the company is. These are also questions to ask the manager during interview, the culture, the role, the expectations, and such.

My take is, you are more likely to be impacted by the manager you are under than the company you are under.

From your last sentence, does it mean that if the company is bad but the manager is good, then it should be fine?
I do believe that even the manager is good and company is bad, eventually nothing much the manager can do. For example like increment or bonus, if the higher ups say no, then the manager cant do anything neither.
*
No, it means you have to look at the larger theme of the reviews and such as well as the manager that you are going to work with.

Culture is something the manager can't change entirely, so if the culture of the company is toxic in nature, it will set the tone from top down.

But a good manager can help you thrive in a bad environment and help you grow, a bad manager will derail and stop your progress in a good organisation.

When people say it's a bad organisation, they usually refer to your department or maybe division. Rarely an entire organisation is bad, else they would have long ran out of talents and ran out of business.

I can only use myself as an example, I've been in multiple organisation, and never once I have issues with higher ups saying no to bonus or increment because they are bad organisation. There are good years and there are bad years yes, but it's all relative to the performance which is clear to all.

You are more likely to face issue from your manager not willing to defend and push for your growth, rather than a CEO using his time to purposely cut your bonus or increment.

Rare HR folk here. If you don't have anything set in mind yet, I would advice you to explore the COE side of HR, there's where the money and opportunities lay.

Hi all... Wanna seek feedback whether I'm underpaid or undervalued by the managers & higher up.

Since I'm from a technical & math background, i did outperform  other colleagues in term of analytical skills (got several feedback from other colleagues & stakeholder),
guiding others (more senior than me) on how to use some of the Business Intelligence tools, what kind of insights should be given etc.
Heck, i even did several reporting process/task automation to expedite others BAU working time.

Disappointed to hear they didn't count the experience & contribution during i'm in the contract position. Had i known earlier, I would've jump elsewhere to make my working time counted.
Is this standard evaluation practiced at others comp, to not count contract position experience?

Might sound cruel, but you are 28 earning less than 3k. Of course you are underpaid.

My tips is, spend some time to beautify and improve your CV and network, and start to just apply for jobs. Doesn't matter if it fails, doesn't matter if no response. You will get one and you will find out what's the market price for you.
