Hey guys! Will be signing up a new courier service soon, so far DHL macam not bad (multiple drop off points and international brand)

However, before proceeding, would like to know the reviews.. anyone used them to send/receive package before?

Punctual?

How is the service? Easily contact with Customer Service?

GDex i tried using last night, sent 3 items, 1 received by customer and another 2 still pending... and also, online review for GDex kinda bad hmm.gif

DHL currently got promo, the delivery rate RM7 (haven't include GST).. thus attracting me, cause international brand haha

Your fragile item need to be protected carefully. Double or triple wrap protection.

Good luck.

Expensive
Bought from Amazon, use DHL. Courier cost more than product.

But total cost is still cheaper than buying locally
*
for international delivery, usually the courier price same or higher than the product la xD

My company using DHL to send sample to our customers.

The heaviest should be around 12kgs and the destination is Hungary. So far no complaints coming from the customers side.

They also provide pickup twice per day. Morning and late afternoon. I should say DHL is good. Even the CS also helped us a lot if problems occurs during item transportation.

sounds more and more promising now biggrin.gif

QUOTE(fqhskr @ Feb 9 2018, 04:05 PM)
For local deliveries of letters and parcels, my company will use either GDex and OCS courier

We use FedEx and DHL when import from overseas. Previously I asked FedEx they say they only do international shipments. Domestic they don't do. Does DHL offer domestic shipments now? I never checked..

I do like DHL, I think for international shipments, they offer better rates that Fedex. Problem is, some companies in the US where we import our stuff from specifically mention they do not use DHL. So no choice have to use Fedex.. but for European side, no problem.
*
try look into DHL eCommerce smile.gif the rate they offer, more or less the same as Poslaju

QUOTE(neoexcaliber @ Feb 9 2018, 04:10 PM)
I recently decided to ban DHL because they mistakenly declared my non-taxable shipment as taxable items and it took me 2 months and Customs' intervention to get my items. Customer service was completely useless and the clearance department refused to reply to my e-mail. I had to personally contact Customs, lodge an official complaint and go back and forth for weeks.

Prices are cheap but their handling of tariffs/taxes are bad. I've had friends deal with improperly taxed items as well.

that's sad to hear, everything settled now?

Yup. Received my items last week. The best part was, DHL did not contact me at all. The shipment just showed up at my doorstep. No apology, no explanation as to how they screwed up, nothing. The only person who told me the shipment cleared was from Customs.
*
oh my, well at least sampai, ngam ngam before CNY

QUOTE(fqhskr @ Feb 9 2018, 04:38 PM)
Oh that's interesting. So it is basically like the local courier service, but by DHL?

Because our company not doing e-commerce... if just need to send parcels or time-sensitive documents can ah?
*

DHL ecom need certain volume only they will entertain u. average 10 parcel a day.

moreover their coverage not as good as poslaju.

If you doing international business then can go for DHL.

if local, then better use Poslaju only because coverage is whole Malaysia and their service is quite ok la... so far so good
*
weird, they didn't mention anything about the volume though hmm.gif

poslaju need to open account and deposit money isn't it?

People send package to me via DHL before. Dont drop letter to say fail, dont call, nothing. I call and ask for redelivery few times also never deliver. End up i go there to self collect. They tell me self-collection time is between what to what. I said nobody called me. I have to keep calling to find out what happen to my package. Email them to complain and they keep taichi and say not them to report to.

Total boycott after that.

Note that based on my experience, calling them, they will keep taichi to other department where u have to call them urself. Same as emails. Funny thing is they dont leave delivery failure cards and they even confirmed it when I asked but they said the rider is supposed to call u, in which I didnt receive a call. Send complain emails and I think no response apart from u send to wrong department. Please contact at xxx@dhl.con.my and same thing happens when I email that department.

So I'll say their bad at handling customers.
*
well.. some of them do that.. doh.gif

anyway, juz found out EasyParcel can drop off the parcels at the courier's branch! might juz go with that

I think it’s a new Service by DHL .. I saw recently also in Mailboxes etc they have DHL ecommerce shipping which is quite cheap inside MY.

I guess they have a somewhat separate network from DHL Express international side
*
however, according to some of the comments, it makes me think again... their coverage is not as wide as PosLaju

hmm.gif
