I read that (hardware forums and website) the "MS duo-core hotfix" its meant for laptops/notebooks (power issues).

So, basically the juz need to install "AMD64 X2 drivers" and "AMD dualcores optimiser" only, no need "MS hotfix".

Correct me if im wrong...

Well, the Microsoft hotfix last time was for the dual core AMD Opterons IIRC. I do remember last time when i install the driver for my AMD Opteron 165 where AMD themselves claiming that their Dual Core Optimizer is not for the Opteron series. Only for the X2 series. Therefore, this is where the MS Hotfix for dual core comes in..Well, thats what i learn from AMD forum last time..

Some games really depend heavily on GC rather than CPU...

Any idea what might be the safe range for voltage on the NB and how to raise the HTT? Sorry quite noob in this..LOL..

Was having problem with my Opty and my DFI. Thanks..

What do you mean by increasing the HTT? Is it the multiplier or the frequency? In general, you don't overclock the HTT, especially not more than 1000mhz. Usually reduced the multiplier as you increase the fsb.  smile.gif

LOL..Been away recently. Busy with work and my PSP..LOL..

Just recently back to computing and gaming and all of a sudden, found out some problems with my PC. Probably hate me for leaving him so long..LOL..

Anyway, i know some information but not totally confirmed about it. Therefore, just came over and reconfirm everything. I needed to try and increase the voltage on my NB to see whether specific problem persist or not. About the HTT, maybe i should reconfirm and see which one it is..LOL.

Damn, my hardware knowledge is going down the drain. Guess i should start updating myself again..LOL.. tongue.gif
