They interview throughout the year...they interview anyone projected over the MMC mandated minimum of BBB, and will give provision offers based on their current cut off, which was AAA....

Falling interests is purely economics....in myr terms, it's 10 to 30% more expensive within this year...and jpa have stopped sponsoring for the pms programme....

The main reason for opting for the pms programme is inability to get direct entry.. .there is minimal savings going through IMU...I don't know of any student who rejects offer of direct entry into a UK or oz med school and choose IMU.... Most entering didn't apply for, or failed to get offer for direct entry...

Correction...I do know one student who rejected a direct entry offer to go to IMU pms, for personal reasons....and eventually drop down to the imu local programme....extraneous family problems....

U gotta check ur information before saying it out,jpa is still sponsoring the pms programme, dont say anything based on ur own facts.

Not jpa....Mara is however still sponsoring...

As a policy change, this formerly called bursary scholarship is now open not just to post spm bursary scholars, but all eligible students...to study both locally and overseas...

However, for health related courses, it is for local unis only... And in IMU means the local programme...

There however will be jpa scholars in the pms programme currently from awards given before the policy change...

No it is jpa who is sponsoring the pms programme,(starting from this year ownwards, not for the ones before policy change) i dont know about mara but jpa is the one sponsoring it for bumiputera students and they are outstanding and only a small amount(very very very small).

If they enter this year in August, they will be those who were given bursary scholarship from spm 2012...under the old rules...

The fact remains that from about 30% in the past to 'small amount', it is a drop, and IMU is having difficulty finding suitable students with money to replace the shortfall....that 'small amount' will become zero from 2017....

No jpa assign the college we are going to,we are taking a levels and i am one of them.

did a bit of sleuthing, and i think you are under the "jpa-mara" programme, and just started a levels mid this year, so will only sit for a2 in May/June 2017....

that is by definition, mara, okay....and NOT the jpa bursary programme...

so this does NOT change the fact that jpa has stopped sending their bursary students to imu-pms....

whether mara will continue to do so in 2017 remains to be seen...and mara cannot "assign" the med school to you...you will have to qualify like everybody else, on merit....
