If I do IMU-PMS programme to a SMC recognized partner medical school, I would be recognized by Singapore right?

QUOTE(cckkpr @ Sep 28 2015, 10:55 AM) Dont think about scholarships for medic. Getting a loan also impossible now. Ah I see...The Higher Education Minister is saying that Malaysia students overseas may transfer credits to local institutions. And recalling JPA scholars overseas is the next step. That's pretty sad ......... Okay that's the reason why I have to make sure I'm able to work overseas next time :/ I'll come back to Malaysia when Money isn't an issue for me anymore maybe.. Just another question, let say I graduate at UK. Will my UK cert write "twinning with IMU" or something? And will it affect my chances of applying to work at other countries? Thanks! |

QUOTE(cckkpr @ Sep 28 2015, 11:40 AM) Your UK cert will not indicate it unless you are proud enough to tell them I'll tell them if I ever become a successful doctor next time. (so maybe more people will come Malaysia)As for the junior doctor proposed pay cut, doing your foundation years in Scotland will possibly avoid that. WAIT. What junior doctor proposed pay cut....... Scotland is in UK too right? And what foundation years? I so blur nowww |

QUOTE(limeuu @ Sep 28 2015, 12:33 PM) you show a lack of knowledge on matters medical, especially uk matters....which does not auger well for someone contemplating spending rm1mil studying in uk..... I'm actually planning to work in Malaysia/Singapore only.. So I didn't really focus on the UK medical stuffs or working there...I wanted to go Australia but my parents say UK... Just need the cert to be recognized by SMC :L This post has been edited by kokhoong0624: Sep 28 2015, 01:10 PM |

QUOTE(wingy @ Sep 28 2015, 04:07 PM) QUOTE For twinning programmes, doctors must have undergone the entire duration of their clinical training and final examinations in a medical school listed in the Schedule, before they can be considered for provisional or conditional registration in Singapore. Graduates from the Malaysian, US and Canadian medical schools on the schedule must have undergone the entire medical training on the main campuses of the respective medical schools – i.e. both pre-clinical and clinical for eligibility for registration with SMC. Thanks for the link mate! Does it mean that twinning programmes to US/MY/Canadian PMS programmes are not recognized? |

QUOTE(Jckc @ Sep 28 2015, 03:39 PM) You need to be flexible in your options. Hey thank you for your advices! Give yourself a chance to work outside your comfort zone and you may realized that you may even like it there. All the best for your application and make sure you're doing it because you generally like it overall. I'll definitely leave my options open (If i get to make that choice) Sorry for my shallow knowledge in this field. Might need more advices in the future! |
