Smaller displacement? The turbo will work very hard. Engine won't last long.

Look at the EP6 engine from Peugeot. 1.6L dragging a heavy body like 508 and 3008 around. No wonder why the turbo always go first.

Older turbo cars like VR4 with 2.0L and TD04 or TD05 turbo will last easily 15-20 years. Since engine is big, the turbo not overly stressed.

Ur raptor assume RM200k - RM140k = RM60k extra.

When you have lots of gears, your engine does not need to load up constantly to get max torque sweet spot. It also saves you more fuel. This is something like CVT. But with more capability to take more torque than a CVT. More gears better as the change will feel almost seamless.

This is nice. Saw a Ford Ranger yesterday in full black and had 3 led 'dots' lining the hood, very cool.

Question, being a turbo engine.. i would imagine torque would be difficult to control due to any lag. Say you are stuck in a sand pit but need gradual raise in power to climb out... and not a sudden push by turbo. Would this happen ?

The handling and suspension for this car will be different compare to regular ranger. Not the engine.

4x4 is never design for pickup speed,.. it's all about torque,.. how much load they can drag.. that why u never see lorry or ship use petrol,.. all diesel,..
