You may have heard some negative comments about the new Myvi Gear Up.

Sharing what happened to my new Myvi Gear Up after installed for 7 days
You can see it on this video

https://youtu.be/GG3iHnBXXJc

I'm one of the customer who paid for RM1250 + RM320 to install the full Gear Up. My advice, please DONT buy it bangwall.gif
- Bad parts quality - started falling apart after 7 days.
- The after fixing process will cause you a lot of headache - I waited from 9AM until 5:30PM, a total of 8.5 hours to remove and reinstall these parts (2 Rear Skirtings, 2 Chrome Side Mirror Garnish, and 4 Chrome Window Garnish).
- Unfortunately, my car body earned some minor body paint scratches when they remove the Chrome Window Garnish, and my Chrome Side Mirror Garnish Gear Up part was damaged slightly when they removed it from my side mirror.

Never spent money on body accessories. Only add weight and cause poor FC.

All not lost. Just remove and sell it off. Keep the car stock looking.

This why they say, don't buy the first batch of newly launch products.

Actually you did a good job helping them identify the problems, and then next they will improve i think.

I just didn't expect accessories also cannot buy first batch.

Yup, I do feedback to Perodua about the Gear Up parts quality issue. I hope they can improve it for the next batch customers.

Yep, but for me, anything from first batch could have problems.

Sure, it is because of listening customers, Perodua is improving...see how your car looks like and equipped compare to the first gen myvi.

I agree with you, I can't deny that the car quality has improved a lot at the same price point.

I wont go to install the cosmetic items/accessories by using double side tape to attach the parts.

i cant brain why Perodua sells those chrome liners separately by attaching them using double side tape in stead of designing it to the panels during manufacturing
*
I guess, this is just another way for them to make money by selling accessories. At the same time reduce some upfront cost for the car price.

If don't use double side tape than use what ?

Chrome liner increase the part cost which mean the car selling price will be higher or lower profit margin if same selling price

Hi TS, how about the quality of the door visor, coil mat and boot tray?
These are part of the Gear Up accessories too
