since on router,

what to ask,

If my router is old type 2.4Ghz only from unifi package
If I were installed TP-Link Powerline Extender(Wi-Fi) TL-WPA8630P KIT, by theory,

I should get only 2.4Ghz working and 5Ghz redundant
or not working at all?

What are you talking about? TP-Link powerline extender extends your 2.4 and 5GHz connection, and won't affect it in any way. You can disable 5GHz on the powerline extender, and only have 2.4GHz, if that's what you mean.

Just as what SilentVampire bro stated, it has nothing to do with your router's wireless functionality. Even if your router does not have wireless function, you can still enable the 2.4 and 5Ghz Wi-Fi feature on your power line.

thanks guys.

So what you saying by buying TP-Link Powerline Extender(Wi-Fi) TL-WPA8630P KIT, connected it to my router by network cable and I can use it as 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wireless hotspot, regardless my router don't have wireless or just 2.4Ghz only?
