i had been looking into this console for quite sometimes, but the screen size and color are not as good as psp, see data below:(170k color VS 16.77milion color).

i haven't seen the actual gp2x, i only guess based on the spec.

GP2X:
"The vivid 3.5inch screen features 170,000 colors and a 320x240 pixel TFT LCD display."

PSP:
"Display: 4.3 inch, 16:9 widescreen TFT LCD, 480 x 272 pixel (16.77 million colors), Max. 200 cd/m2 (with brightness control)"

hmmmm true true.. but the processor, seems GP2X is a better RISC processor...

psp is also using RISC cpu. MIPS R4000 (32bit version), see link below:. BTW, i also think GP2x is fatser due to the 170k color and 320x240 pixel, less processing on graphic????? (i guess, i might be wrong. tongue.gif ). anyone here own one?

I got GP2X from play asia...

It runs most of the emulators...
It runs open source, linux operating system.

It runs on 2xAA battery... and should last for about 3-4 hours if you use 2600mAh rechargable battery.
You can watch divx, ogg or MK video without any problem.

i see. finally saw one forumer got gp2x. do you get taxed by malaysia custom when purchasing from play-asia? can post some photos how is the screen color look like?

i wonder can it run all neogeo games in full speed like what psp does.

Nintendo DS can do 260 000 colors, but less resolution than GP2X..

i don't understand this. NDS is 260 000 = 260k colors right?

This one is from a Korea Company, used to be very famous with it's GP32. At that time, it's consider a special handheld using smart media card instead of catridge based. you can search link below for more info:
