just wanna ask people who already got their iphone x and using tempered glass screen protector;

last week my friend got an iphone x and installed a privacy tempered glass screen protector. while installing the guy who install it noticed that the surface of the screen is not flat, ie; got a gap on the left side of the screen and it does not stick. so he tried a new screen protector and the problem still persist. i tried googling the problem but didnt found any related problem thou the guy who install the screen protector did say he encountered the problem with his other customers.

so it is just me who being paranoid or did the problem really exist? if it does then no problem changing the phone back since my friend bought it at maxis and he did opt for the insurance.

for your guys information my friend bought a cheap privacy tempered glass. i dont know if that helps.

need some feedback from u guys and thank you in advance

well i cant say for everyone but i seldom got bugs except if im on the beta version. even my iphone x are on beta version and for now doing great.

Congrats! Well you can still have the best of both worlds, X as main phone and S9+ as secondary phone smile.gif

i dont want to bring that dongle just because im kindda clumsy with small stuff and for sure i'll drop and lost it so fast.

btw thanks in advance

as expensive as it is, the best bluetooth earpiece for me is the AirPods. everything just works; the pairing is super easy, the sound quality is consistent (not spectacular, but good enough ala EarPod), battery life is good and most importantly for me, no dropouts. i have yet to encounter any sudden loss of connection, it just plays like a normal earphone. the icing on the cake is the lack of lag when using it while watching videos, meaning the video is synchronized to the sound

Lazada had a good deal back then, not sure if it is still available. or if you have friends or relatives overseas, ask them to get it for you. in HK they are selling it for HKD1288 (around RM644). it's seriously worth it, at least for me

hey thanks for the feedback, love the design and the tech for the airpods BUT (there's a big but) normal apple earphone always dont fit me. so im assuming its not gonna fit my ears well. as for the price... well i wont spend that kindda dough thou.

I have a couple of Bluetooth earphones and they’re great but I decided it was worth getting this wired one for long conference calls and also less hassle in the event I forget to charge the Bluetooth ones: -

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/urbeats3...EZMeAd&search=1

Retail price at RM400 but close to RM100 off on Lazada. Might work for you?
*
hey thanks for the recommendation. the price is what i could afford but i would prefer bluetooth earpiece. but i would really consider it if i find nothing interesting.

Thank you all

i dont know about u guys but since i use iphone (or any cellphone/handphone/smartphone), my rule of thumb is charging it when its gone to 20% and below and would charge it only once a day.

i dont have scientific data to back up this but all of my iphones i have used before seems to have a good battery life. my last iphone 6s ive used it for 2 years and the battery is still great till the time i sold it.

like i said i dont have any data to back up my claims but since its i have not encounter any battery issues from my last iphones i used, i will keep using the method i mention.

Hi guys,

Just got myself an Iphone X recently, after reading the thread seems like everyone is enjoying a good battery life. Mine doesn’t seem to be the case, running 11.4 with most of the services turned off (app refresh, location, etc) for simple task like whatsapp & safari can only get me about 6 hours of screen time / 11 hours of standby.

On idle is fine, but when using can see like about 1% drop for every 2 minutes of usage. I did a clean ios wipe & clear out my iCloud but still the same. Hmm. Also just to note when using I can feel the area underneath the camera lens is slightly warm just enough for me to notice even for internet browsing.

I didn’t notice this with my iPhone 8 Plus, I’m not comparing but it’s just that I feel something is not right with the battery consumption.

Appreciate much your input on this!

Try download an app called status lite (because its free), after installing it, open the app and monitor the cpu. Normally it’ll go down to around 6-12%. If just shoot to 100% and didnt drop at all, try doing hard reset. If problem persist, try a new ios install using itunes.

If the problem still wont go away, well claim the warranty lah.

the only thing that wow for me for ios12 beta is how stable it is for just a beta (im on dev beta)

since 1st beta its show stability and the 2nd beta improved so much. i play lineage 2 on my iphone and that game demands loads of power. and guess what? i still have around 32% and the last time i charge my phone was more than 24 hours ago.

not bad really. the remaining battery can last me till night time with some games time and charge it again before i go to sleep.

That’s pretty impressive battery life for iPhone X! So can we conclude the power management in 12 is better than iOS 11?
*
seems better in battery management, animation and got loads of new features.

Apple do mention ios12 is focus on stability. honestly its just my personal opinion. others may vary

Anyone here still use Assistive Touch even with iPhone X? Last time, reason for using Assistive Touch is to prolong the lifetime of the Home button which would spoil over time. Now iPhone X does not have a home button, wonder if Assistive Touch is still very much in use or otherwise.
*
actually i dont see the assistive touch function for iphone x. all can use gestures and freaking simple. takes a while to get used to it but for me iphone x dont need to use assistive touch.

mine decreased to 97% and i know whats causing it.

intense playing of lineage 2 revolution. that thing gobbles the batt so much i have to restrict the playing for 10-15 minutes a day. if longer than that the battery gonna get hot. i think thats the cause of the battery depletion.

now i need to find a cheapo ipad that can play lineage 2 revolution..... haiz....

A question to those who usually game on their iPhone X.

How many hours of battery life do you get before your phone needs to be charged?

Mine averages out at around 6 hours.
*
depending on games. games that demand alot of power such as lineage 2 (this is what i usually play) wont last long even with full battery. i think i got around 4 hours+- playing that game non stop (the battery was hot like crazy thou).

Im into asphalt 9 too right now. just light play before going to bed. it seems that asphalt 9 didnt consume too much of the battery and my phone just lightly warm only.
